United, although i don't go as often i would like. The waiting list for a season ticket is 10years, and they cost £1500 if you buy them of someone else  Oh Well... just have to start earning megabucks

I know that you were only joking...but what does a picture of my lambo, ferrari and house got to do with a mid-life crisis ?

My last avatar was a picture of my house, skyline R33 (dont have anymore), ferrari and lambo and you never said anything about that one?

RONFL @ the mid life crisis idea! hehehehehe. I have a theory on this, it is called having enough money to finally afford (the insurance) of what you wanted when one was a bit younger. 8)

As for the avatar, well, new house........new pics! Got to move with the times.

You running this site proves that you are far from stable dude, paying money for noobs to call you a asshole for not providing them with vids....not very stable dude, but dont worry you are not the only unstable here.....

One good post outweighs 100 crappy ones and one good member outweighs 100 assholes.

The quality people like yourself brembo seem to stay around and the assholes just move on to annoy someone else...thats what makes JW worth while.... for me anyway.

04-15-2004, 05:59 PM
i agree with Brembo... i think you should calculate how much it costs for you to run this site for a month... second thoughs, that might be too depressing.

Oh well, i am sure it is wounderful to sit back and look at what you have created here on JW :D

Jabba

I know how much JW costs to run almost to the exact financial penny as it appears on my credit statement each month.

You must weep everytime you get a CC statement.. i know i would

Jabba
04-15-2004, 06:41 PM
I think its very good value for all the fun it gives me and the many others on JW though.

To be honest its one of the less expensive hobbies I have....

£1 is expensive for me for something that I think is crap.... £1,000 is cheap for me however for something that I enjoy....hope you can get your head around that one...

Yeah, but not having as much money as you have i can almost see where you are coming from. You're doing a great job though.

BTW - i have been online for so long because i am reading the Topic on your house. Its amazing...

Jabba
04-15-2004, 06:50 PM
Well it hasnt always been that good for me....I have had alot of bad things happen to me as well.....I think life is like that....full of ups and downs.....and I am probably due for some downs soon...so I am enjoying it while I can and never taking anything for granted....

No.1
04-15-2004, 06:55 PM
I hope you don't have any downs. You must have worked so hard to get what you have, so i don't envy you.

I am only a young person at this moment, and so when i am your age, i hope to have achieved as much as you. I really want that Enzo, the big house etc... I will just have to work for it :D

Jabba
04-15-2004, 07:11 PM
I would also say don't waste your money on short term items if you want the big items...yes you have to wait longer for the bigger items but they can be worth the wait sometimes.

I travelled quite early on in my life and kinda saw what I wanted to see and didn't feel the need for any more holidays...of course its a double positive...while I am in the office I am making money (hopefully) AND not spending any....while you are out pissing it up then you are not making any money and often too hung over to make any money for the next week and of course you have also spent a shit load of cash and have little to show for it.

Not saying that is bad or anything just that I have paid a price for what I have in other areas that not everyone would be perhaps willing to pay the price for....I am very happy though none the less.

What I am trying to say is what works for me might not work for everyone :?

Nice words of inspiration Jabba.

Thanks 8)

I can see where Jabba's coming from with those words. Having watched my own parents slave and slog for twenty years before they could get to where we are now, I suppose I am a bit more appreciative of the existence of this place more than most of the 'noobs' around here who only serve to live as leeches.

I just hope JW will stay on for as long as it can, and that you, Jabba, don't get bored with having to deal with psychopaths from all over the world (like mui),. I mean, i dont post or visit for a couple of days, and boom, 600 new posts to scroll through. Sure, quite a few are crap, but it's nice to come across a really good one once in a while.

Why not a competition, to see who has had the most 'quality post' of the day/week/month? Just a athough. Perhaps it would serve as an incentive for members to put more consideration and thought into what they say, and how they say it. I'm sure TT and Jabba wouldnt mind if more members' posts were qactually fun to read 8)

"slave and slog"

Havent heard that expression for many years and funnily enough it was one of my mothers favourites that was regularly drilled into me.

It's been pretty much drilled into me too. (= I hope i'll actually apply it properly. My parents could buy so much more, but we make do with 'just' a Bimmer and E-Class, just to get the point across that money aint everything as well.

I guess i speak for most when i say that we're thankful that you;ve slaved and slogged at your work yourself, because without it, we wouldn't have had this place to meet, yap and play. :)

Yeh same as my parents they didnt rate cars much at all...my father had a benz that he had for years....it was expensive at the time but of course was very outdated as he never wanted to update the model.

They were very big on houses though and our family home had 13 bedrooms 4 bathrooms and indoor swimming pool and some 62 acres of land....might be able to post some pictures up later.

Sounds like my parents. They hated the fact that I spent so much money on my car (Nova) and continue to spend money on car related stuff. To them it was a waste of time. They never really cared much for cars they only drove what worked kind of thing. My house growing up was really nice though. Very nice neighboorhood and only a few minutes walk from the beach. We also had a ranch with some horses etc. Ill try and find some pics of that if I can. A lot of people had the misconception that I came from tons of money which isnt really true. My family was dirt poor and it was actually my Granpa (R.I.P.) that had the motivation to work hard and provide for his family and my father followed in his footsteps...hopefully I will too :D

I would love to see some pics of that house Jabba. Ive been a swimmer my whole life and an indoor pool is something ive always dreamed about having when I get older.
