I don't know I've never been a fan of black rims, they blend in with the tires too much and it looks like a big black blob where some nice silver or chrome wheels should be. The body on that car is nice though.

WTF? Dude, are you a ricer or something?

where some nice silver or chrome wheels should be

AHHHHHHH!!! :?
Chrome...uuugghhh...why the fuck would you put chrome rims on a car that is supposed to be understated...why would you ever put chrome rims on any car? AHH, I hate chrome rims, they are ugly, flashy, pointless, and garish...and they do not belong on an M5.

Plus this is not a customer car...so those probably aren't the final rims, but black rims do look nice...8)

I think some gunmetal rims would look even sweeter. Gunmetal is the best colour IMO.

Guys your forgetting something .....

it's not the real M5 as you can see it's bit to high from back..also there is a steel line after front tyers that we can't see it here ? also the back and front grill are in black ..so he still didn't paint them ... :D

that first pic posted doesnt have the side signature M grills...

DROOL.. I would do anything for that car.. ANYTHING...

Reading from other forums quickly after this I'm startin to think there will be a shitty US-Spec E60 M5...much like the crap E36 M3 they gave us in the 90's

hopefully they dont ruin it too much for US.

I don't know why US cars happen to be less spec ..?

My guess is stricter emmisions, thus robbing the car of more power

Yeah, that car did look awfully funny...like yeah, it was too high in the rear and such.

dude...check out the exhaust pipes...it IS a M5 Test Mule...even if it doesn't have M5 badging or accesories...so technically it still is the M5...

The picture was supposedly just taken.

I think it's a test mule too. It doesn't have the side grill, but it's got the dual exhaust and the guy that took the picture said it had huge brakes too.

Lastly, it said it got out of town with major quickness when the driver saw him taking pictures...while normally that would be understandable, this guy has dealer plates. Those look like pretty low profile tires too...lower than a standard 5 series. As for the rake, it's just the angle of the picture, I think.

I'm guessing that they filled the grills and pulled the emblems to try to be more covert while using it...wonder where it was going and where it was coming from...

WOW THAT IS NICE those wheels seem a bit big i like the way when its moving fast the wheels look pushed in but black wheels rock like smoke it looks hella nice also its debadged only the logo is still on there right? in the pic toprpm showed us if you look close enough it is actually raised on the tail and the exhaust is double instead of the single http://www.fast-autos.net/bmw/conceptm54.jpg but you cant see the air flow hole in the middle as it is blackened out http://aerocarz.ulrsystems.com/img/items/item_75_9f.jpg and also as you can see the trunk is extended longer for the M5 rather then the regular picture http://aerocarz.ulrsystems.com/img/items/item_75_4f.jpg and there is also a really small reflector on the standard 5 Series bumper that would probably be visible if it was there on the M5 as it is on the highway and the corner of the bumper has a reflection so the light would have reflected so there for it most likely is a M5 also around the wheels it sticks out and goes in but on the regular 5 series it doesnt http://aerocarz.ulrsystems.com/img/items/item_75_4f.jpg

I would believe it is a test mule. I can recall on numerous occasions seeing cars that arent out yet or are concepts around the area. I saw a new 6 series BMW a few weeks ago on PCH with some odd stuff on it for disguise, unfortunately I didnt have my camera though.

Looks like someone else saw it too:

If you look at the picture with the wheel & brakes, you can see that what looks like a "patch" piece was used to fill in the hole where the side grill used to be. It's definately the new M5 being "covertly" used on the roads, through a dealer plate. I'm guessing this might even be the same one...pictured in the first link. Big oil cooler, big wheels, big brakes, dual exhaust, patch piece for the side grill, it's the E60 M5. I love the automotive industries "secretness" sometimes. They went as far as to pull the side grills...

Since there's another one in the parking lot also, I'm guessing there might be a handful motoring around in LA...

I can't wait till they release this car now. I have got used to the looks of the car and really like the aggressive lines + those huge brakes + the black wheels + the engine, the list goes on...
