well the no is more recent, but i think this would b a big mistake.
toyota is the worse team in my mind, yes the are not last in every race but they have the 2nd biggest budget out there, and they can't even score points. i think they might be first if the count in all the ads they run in mags that no gear head read, like time and people.

there has been talk of him going to toyota for a long time now, since before the season started, it as been talked about on f1 broadcasts and in almost every magazine, don't know how you could of missed it.

Remember that Toyota just came onto the scene, two years ago and this is just their third season. The amount of money just shows how committed they are. In addition, it also shows that you can't buy a championship.

Remember that Ferrari not too long ago was pretty far down the grid as well.

As far as Ralf Schumacher is concern, he is definitely a good drive, but not worth the price that he is asking ($15 million a year). If Toyota wants a new driver next year they should definitely look at DC. You got a veteran, tested winner there. And he'll drive for a faction of the price of Ralf, without the attitude I might add.

Yeah I have no idea what is going on here but I do have some thoughts.

1. Ralf wants to stay with BMW, they have a much better chance to win.
2. He's trying to negotiate with BMW so that he can stay with the team but at the price he wants.
3. In an effort to play hardball he mentioned Mclaren might sign him.
4. He now mentions that he's ready to sign a contract with Toyota.

At this point his contract for next year will either be signed or declined so he's got till the end of the season to find a new ride. Toyota have DENIED they are ready to sign Ralf so I'm wondering if he's still playing hardball or simply let the cat out of the bag a bit early. At this point I would wonder if he'll even get a ride for next year, better hope his performances pick up a bit of steam... :roll:

well if you recall back when Toyota stepped on to the scene they thought they could buy a championship. i remember very well reading about it, they claimed that in the first season they would compete with the top 3 runners and then in their 2nd year they would win the championship. i couldn't belive they would make such comments, and yes they were real comments made by the head of the team. 3 years down the road and where are they?? i have more faith in Sauber doing well then these guys.

They'll be competitive sooner or later. At the rate they are spending it better be sooner. Like I have said in other threads, I think Toyota should be competitive in a maybe another 2 or 3 years.

We could all dream huh?

Back to Ralf, I hope that he is w/o a ride next year. Actually come to think of it, I don't even want him on Toyota's team, he'll just mess up the team chemistry. Asshole.

I have always liked toyota.i think its because they are the underdogs but they have not shown any good results.
