Today as I often do, I was searching for an high-res image to use as a background for a photoshopped car... and for the first time I found this website:

http://www.terragalleria.com/index.html

They have an impressive collection of pics, one better than the other.. and you can buy a 90 days membership for just 12 USD payble in a glimpse thanks to Paypal...

I'm sure there is nothing like that for free on the net, and always think that you have to pay if you want something back... 12 USD is a deal for sure, but I just prefer to ask, in case there is something better for the money :D

I will not pay for online images - unless I was going to actually make money from the project, and the time saved was worth the money spent.

There are more than enough free sources for hires images around..

Besides - wouldnt you just spit if you saw the same images posted on a website one day--- for free... ;)

And you have a digicam - shoot your own background pics... ;)

Uhm... I doubt I will see the whole 8000 images hosted for free somewhere else ;)

I perfectly understand you, but I'm one of those that can actually pay for online services w/o moaning :D finding free stuff it's not hard, but time consuming sometimes :D and 12 USD for 3 months is nothing :D I pay more for RF :D

And BTW, in real life I don't spend money only for things that will help me make money LOL, so why should I do that on the net?

And sure, I'd like to shoot my own backgrounds, but I'm kinda limited in the area ;)

I pay more for RF :D

...which is why I cancelled - the last time I pulled a vid off RF was over a year ago - and paying to just participate in the forum (which is the free part  LOL) that was no longer fun/informative/community orientated or fast was pointless.. ;)

bmwfreak, you should know good and well that TT knows about that site. :D
TT is looking for just the background images.

What was your plan TT, to pay once and grab all the pics?

Heh, if I'm paying for pictures, they are going on my wall, not my computer!
It's really up to you though, $12 isn't much. I've wasted more than that on stuff before.

bmwfreak, you just had to click the url to see it has nothing to do with highresautoimages (wich I knew for a while now ;))

:D

And thanks 666 for supporting me LOL :D

And no oscar, I won't steal their pic to put them on another website (free or paying one)... I'm honest and their pics are just meant for personal use obviously.

That site does have some nice pics. If you think its worth it, go for it. It would be a lot easier to have a bulk of images in one spot than to always have to look for something in particular.

Try this site out TT

http://www.mayang.com/textures/index.original.htm

They "suggest" that you pay for it, but they still allow you to download 50 images every 2 or 3 days. I usually only go there and grab one image at a time so it hasnt been a problem yet. They have a lot of different stuff though, stuff thats good for textures in PS or another program and some background shots.
