How to make little red Xs to display

I have (maybe a stupid) question: how do I make those little Xs to appear as images (as they should). I´m getting an awful lot of them.

Right click, "proprieties", copy url and paste in new window.

if that doesnt work, nothing will. It means that the picture is no longer available, or it has been maed non-public.
