bad rims, but the car is very very nice. . . maybe the frontal lights aren't so good, looking as the Cherokee "base"...

Don't really like it, sideways looks weird, maybe bcs of the rims.

It's not by any means ugly but the old one looks better IMO.
This one doesn't quite look as elegant as the old one which
for me was always an important thing with the Grand Cherokee.
With that said, I do have to say that the interior is a definite
improvement over the old one. I am very glad to see that
they finally added an independent suspensio. Let's hope that
it will get the, IMO, much needed refinement.

The headlights are stolen from the XC90.

it doesnt look bad at all, remaining true to the ZJ styling in most cases. ill definately agree the rims are a little to shiny for a car that truly has good on/off road capabilities (i have one :) ) hmm.... as long as they kept the gross vehicle weight about the same... can i hear 5.9 killer??? man, 390 ft lbs doesnt suck

i see a lot of vehicles with the dual per side headlight coming out... just seems it would cost more to maintain...

I think this will be a great car, change the wheels and it would look great! Do they still make a regular cherokee or is this the substitution..I know they made a cherokee limited in the late 80's through the mid 90's but did the grand cherokee replace that model?

They have hardly changed it since it originally came out. Didn't like it then, don't like it now. (I'm not really an SUV guy anyway... if you want a truck buy a truck, if you want a car buy a car)

The liberty replaced the regular Cherokee and in my opinion
blew it away, the Cherokee always needed a little smothing
around the edges, IMO.

2005 Jeep Liberty
To my eyes the cosmetic changes that they made
to the Liberty are, for the most part, for the worst.
They make it look like a cartoon vehical. The
Renegade looks a little to cheesy with all that plastic
on it. But on the functional side of things, which is
what really counts, I think the Diesel engine should
be a nice improvement to the Liberty line.

Looks a lot like the Chrysler 300Cs headlight, but no suprise there I guess.

Looks like the Damn Durango, which is Fugly. Interior looks good, but the outside needs to die.

I really hope they put the Jeep Rescue concept into production...that thing is incredible and it will blow the H2 out of the water!

I dont like really much the Jeep Grand Cherokee because they are not really sporty. Maybe that they have a good acceleration as the former 5.9L, but when you take a curve this is another matter. Too much body roll I think. This is a UV not SUV.

UhOh
Looks like it no longer has a solid axle.

Or hopefully they are just previewing one of those
lame 2wd models?

This is something for me to get used to, my parents have a 2001 grand cherokee with the 4.7 v8. lots of power down low which is good, but the interior and build quality has to rise big time.
looking forward to a test drive.

and would someone please tell me, i know the hemi is a powerful engine, but what is a HEMI?????
