Bahrain gp circuit "conspiracy"

i was listening to bob varsha mention the gripe people have about the track. something like it was built to favor bridgestone users, specifically ferrari. the compound mixture of the asphalt was created by Shell, which is some kind of supplier or associate with bridgestone and blah blah blah so people are hollering conspiracy about this circuit and saying it's not a fair race. i think this argument could go either way. 1) those are the facts and you could safely assume it's a conspiracy or favortism or whatever or 2) you could say that people are just "plucking straws" as it was put, nitpicking it to hell to find SOME reason to discredit ferrari's speed on that track.

what do you think?

I think its BS, that kind of stuff would have cost a lot of research money,

and that isnt worth that one race, and even if it was true what can they do about it.

Just because Shell made the bitumen that goes into the track - this is far fetched to think that it gives Ferrari an advantage over the rest. Michael said that the same material has been used on two other circuits as well...

Those two circuits are, correct me if I'm wrong,: Ferrari's testtrack at Fiorano and Hockenheim ....

If this was true, shouldnt the finger be pointed at the person that made the descision to buy the shell asphalt ? Maybe he/she is a ferrari fan :P :mrgreen:

Ferrari won the race anyways. Schumi absolutely ran away with it. Him and Rubinho, well, they absolutely decimated the rest of the field.

The comentators in Asia also commented on the fact that the track surface was identical to that at Fiorano, and that this hinted at something. I dont know, really. Another factthat helped Ferrari, and Bridgstone, was that the race day temperatures had dropped by TWENTY degrees Celcius, for the second race in a row.

It is common knowledge that Michelin run better in hot conditions in comparision to Bridgestone, so with the temp change, Michelin were losing almost one to two seconds per lap.
