Bahrain bad track?

If anyone watched the practice, it was awful, 4 drivers had their tires ripped apart in the exact same spot on the track. If this happens in qualifying or in the race Bahrain will not get the race again next year. On f1racing.net, they are reporting that the Bahrain GP track people have said that the top level of asphalt hasn't even dried up yet and it hasn't settled and they are worried about during the race that some of the track might get chewed up and come apart, excuse me, what the hell did they spend $150 million on? If this is true, then it is absolutely bullshit and if they have put any of the drivers in danger then they should be sued and brought to court for breach of the contract. Just because you want something doesn't mean that you get it completed just to have it, it has to have quality with it.

ya how could it not b try yet, it is a desert? how is it not dry ??? o and i think this is a good looking track, and nice layout, but wrong spot to build it, and i love the special juice to celebrate with :D make just for the GP race

i'm sure the track is fine, i believe its the sand and the temperature that get to each team, obviously, the drivers will have to battle w/ the HEAT, track temp. got up to 52C during the first pratice session. I'm sure we will probably see many engines go out during the race and the tires blow up and etc...i think it will all come down to who can last the longest (IMO) :?

i'm watching the rerun right now and i think it was just a matter of too soft of a compound for those drivers, as well as the excessive dust and rocks around the corners and the high temperatures. i wouldn't write this circuit off just yet, as i'm sure these problems are quite common with unfamiliar circuits. what i WOULD suggest is that they grow some fucking grass in that place. the dust is not helping anything at all and every time a car goes off the entire desert ends up back on the track, it's useless. other than that, i think bahrain is just fine

They found out what the problem was, it wasn't the soft compound or the heat or the rocks or sand on the track it was a proturding manhole cover, yes, some moron didn't put a drainage cover in properly. That person should be fired and hanged, isn't that what they do over there? I knew there was a problem, but everyone wants to be nice well guess what people make istakes and they didn't check the track out properly because they were all excited about getting the GP and not doing a proper job of making sure that the track was all good, all they cared about was how nice the mechanics area is, well good for them, imagine if someone had died due to that mistake?

Bahrain looked pretty ok. Lots of overtaking and all that, always makes for good TV. Just soe problems with the sand and rocks, but its a desert, what do you expect?

I thought it was a good race, it was pretty exciting. The track is fine in my opinion. The whole facility is beautiful. As far as track layout, its just ok. Its a little to slow in areas, but all in all, fine.

I think the track is fine.I also agree that they should do something about the sand
but other than that i think the race was great

Give it some time say I. The track had some overtaking on display - i am sure they will do something about the sand next year... Not much in favor of the grid girls though???? :(
