An update to the previous thread about the over bandwidth limit charges.

I noticed that the hosting company had installed a new hosting panel last month and "reset" my bandwidth alert limits that they send you out by email when you are down to your last 1 GB of bandwidth or whatever.

I thought I would use this as the basis as to why I had gone over my bandwidth limit...and thought I would post my email up and their response in case it could be helpful to anyone else that might end up in a similar situation.

THANKS WEBCONEXION.NET FOR FOR BEING SO UNDERSTANDING.

I think I was just very lucky this time indeed...I guess the really smart thing to do would have been not to post the file up in the first place.

Feel free to post the overlimit bandwidth charges letter up in response to anyone complaining that they have the "right" to download anything on JW for free..

You're really luck Jabba. I've never seen a company that "nice". Maybe the guy wants you to keep it on their server so they can get fresh car vids all the time ;)

The person didn't even address the fact that it was THEIR mistake (if they reset the alerts). And that dude had the audacity to warn you not to let it happen again? Sounds like a jerk to me.

i dont know a lot about tv's.. however, mine had broken a few months ago (fell from a tv stand for no apparent reason in the middle of the night) didnt work for months; then i decided to open it up, and see if i could fix it. i changed a few things on it, re-alligned the vaccume tube, shocked myself....... and voila! i have know idea what i did, and it works :-D

just a neat story, i dont think itll help much tho

Well, here is the way our TV broke down: we were watching it and all of a sudden it did a loud SNAP, or more like a SPACK! and turned off.. then tried to turn the image and sound back on with a SPACK every 3 seconds. so we turned it ok and disconnected the electric plug.. and well, there was a very bad smoke smell coming out of it... I don't think I could fix it alone ...

try getting a jamed porn video out before anyone gets home, with you're pants around you're knees, hands covered in KY jelly, and a box of tissues under you're arm..

I have had a similar problem twice. In my case it had to do with the TV's power supply.

Anyway, glad to hear the good news Jabba. It always pays off not to pay the invoice at once but first see what you can do about it by reasoning.
