That car looks absolutely delicious. Even for those that don't like the 5's styling, this should give you a change of heart. Then there is the freaking motor! This will be a huge seller, guaranteed.

I'm a big Bangle fan. I like all of his latest cars, except for 7-series
Z4,1-series, 6-series and 5-series . thumbs up
That's a good looking M5..
But some of the M style signs are missing like the rear boot wing :( and I know that they took out the round type side mirriors coz it won't fit with the design but the wing is essential.
Each year the 5 series gets more ugly.
The previous versions of the M5 looked good - this bangle-abortion looks crap.
They should rename his designs The BANGled BUS cars... ;)

good guess, but fear not, since RC45 has some great taste in serious performance. and we are all entitled to our bias opionions.... i love the new 6 series... except for the "boot" ..... but that would seem a small price to pay for a daily driver for the wealthy
Yeah - what is it with the "bangle-rization" of the trunk/boot area?
Think he has an ass fetish? ;)
Absolutely stunning as always! nice to see more pics, but I can't wait for the roadgoing version to hit the road to see more colors :D

You know, for some really odd reason every Bangle car
that has ever come out I have at first hated and then after
a while I warmed up to them and then started to love them,
and this car is the same way. Although I think that the front
middle scoupe should come forward so it's just a little bit
ahead of the front outer scoupes(like the old M5) it kinda
looks out of place where it is know. After that little modification
it would look quite agresive while at the same time deing pretty
sexy.

That's a very tasty machine!! It has BMW's usual aggression coupled to up-to-date looks. I don't have to elaborate on the engine and the sound it produces, do I?Looks like a no-brainer to me, st-anger!

Ug-ly! I never thought the day would come when I would prefer the styling of the Z4 over the rest of the BMW range.

i like it. Although i think it will look better in a darker colour. Does anyoen notice that that the Bangle cars tend to start looking better from the rear when their diffusers/rear valances are extended nearer to the ground? This, coupled with a (tastefully) lowered ride height, seem to make any of his new designs that much easier to digest and accept, rather than outright challenege your own interpretation of what makes a car look good.

They are? :? But didn't they just do that 2 or so years ago. :? Oh well,
nothing like a lot of changes to keep things from getting boring, :D just
as long as they aren't for the worse and preferably for the better. :|

I dont know when it will be realsed, but by the end of the year would be my guess.... They're being alot quicker with this M release compared to the last M5. The last 5 series was introduced in 1995/96, but the M5 only came out in 98. So this 5, introduced in 2003, will have an M representative before a year has passed. hmm.

I love the way the car looks, but the silver really doesn't suit the car at all. You need a real satanic hue of metallic black to make the car look more agressive.

Before we continue to bash Chris Bangle anymore, I think that we need to take into consideration that Bangle has been around for awhile- since early 90s, and he lead the design project of the E46 3 series. Although he's the head of design of the BMW group, which includes Rolls-Royce and Mini, it's his designing teams that is mostly responsible for the new, cutting edge designs of today.
We also need to take into consideration that The Quandt family, who controls BMW, specifically asked Bangle to move the company's image forward, whether traditionalists like it or not.
I personally love the new looks of the cars. I think they're works of art, each curve and line fluid and in sync with one another- but BMVs are more than just pretty to look at. In addition to the new designs, BM has introduced revolutionary innovations to car engineering. Please go over the following article before bashing Bangle and longer.

BMW has a 7 year life cycle for their models, so they usually update it after the 3rd or 4th year.
I still prefer the E39 M5.

i personaly didn´t like this corolas´s rear based design....the front is well designed but the rear.... :?

That's an absolute insult to even include the word "corrola" in a BMW discussion.
It's beautiful. I can't wait for pictures of a black one... with 19" deep-dish rims of course. ;)

This M5 is going to have an superb engine! :D
But i'm not a fan of the styling :| I always loved the good
ol' E39 M5. Much more then the old 349 BHP E55. But have
fallen in love with the new 493 BHP E55. I'm sure it's going
to be amazing, but i'll stick with the E55.
