In my case when I went to Maranello I sitted in a Testarossa, a Dino, a 328 GTB and in a Daytona...pitily it was in a garage and some of the cars were not in conditions of sitting inside. There were an F40, a 550 Maranello, a 288 GTO and some others that I couldn't sit in... :?

I got to drive a 2003 Porsche 996 Carrera on Monday the 29th at Langan Porsche in Albany, NY. The coolest car I've ever sat in was a family friend's 2003 Ferrari 575 Maranello. I mean, if you go to a car show, you can sit in a lot of nice cars.

30th aniversary Trans am WS-6 was quite nice, and the list of cars ive been in is great, but im sure a far cry from stanger's ... most exotic ive sat in would go to porsche 911 turbo..... cirtainly a few vipers (gts/ and rt-10), a z06, and various c-5's... and an 03 mustang cobra (i think its special, and the best performance/doller in existance)
tons of auto show cars....... i sat on a dodge Tomohawk :)

:?: i don't remember more
I have only sat in a Boxster, and many high-end mercedes.
I haven't sat in any sort of 911, Ferrari or Lamborghini.
You guys are so lucky, especially St. Anger. How does he manage to get to sit in the SLR??? It has to be less common than an Enzo.
I have got close though. At the motors show at the NEC i was about 5m away from a Carrerea GT Concept car. I also went to the Ferrari dealer where i saw 355s, 360s, 550s, and F40 and an F50. I regret it now  , but i wasn't cheeky enough to ask to sit inside one.
Maybe i should pay Stratstone Ferrari (near to me) another visit. :D

Well, I know you're 15 years older but things would have to change radically to have the oportunity to sit in some of those cars (I don't mention drive them!)...however, thank you for giving me hope!

well, the job itself isn´t that hard but the whole way to get it had been bloody hard...
i´ve only driven the CGT and 959 myself, i´d been on the "hot seat" in the F40 around the nordschleife, sat in a GT1 at the EZW, and in the SLR on some occasion lately...

Have had rides in quite a few nice cars, most of them on racetracks. the top 5 would be:
1. 996 GT1 roadversion. A racingdriver drove it on a damp track. He drifted in most corners. The car felt faster between 90-150mph than it did between 30-90mph. When the turbos kicked in it sounded like a jet engine. Felt nice to pass a Mercedes CLK-GTR on the straight. Awesome car
2. Lamborghini Diablo VT. Feels slow and the suspension is way too soft if you compare it to 911 GT1, but if you compare it to anythinhg else it's a wonderful car. Thought we were going off the track in the sand when the driver entered a 180 degree curve at 90mph but the tires only screeched a little.
3. Porsche 964 Turbo S. Great car with 420-450hp. Felt faster than the Diablo.
4. Porsche 996 Carrera Cup. The car doesn't feel so fast or dramatic on a wide track but the racingdriver who drove it made it fun. He drove sideways in almost every corner with the back of the car on the curbes making the seats better than any masseuse.
5. Corvette C5. Great sportscar with nice engine sound.
The only cool car I've driven is a Mercedes ML 430 with tuning kit and engine upgrade from Brabus and 22inch wheels with lowprofile tires. Only drove it for a very short bit, but of course i floored it and managed to get it up to 110mph on a country road. It was a fast car but I don't like SUV:s really.
I sat in a lot of cars.. Most recent one is a 1950 something Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing.. The car cost 407,608 US Doller. And it is up for sale if anybody is intrested.

okay the ones I think are worth mentioning:
Sat in while stationary:
BMW Z1, M1
Ferrari 328, 308GT4
Lamborghini Countach, Miura
Porsche Boxster
Sat in while being driven:
Aston Martin Vantage (1993 model)
Ferrai F355, Daytona, 330GT 2+2
Lamborghini Espada
Drove:
BMW 3.0CSi
Ferrari 308 GTS QV
Porsche 911SC, Carrera(1984)
Met some new people recently. Hoping fervently for a drive in Ferrari F40, F50 and Porsche 956 racer(unlikely. No space for me).
I went around Sandown Raceway in Victoria, Australia in a 1993 Porsche 911 (964) 3.6 Turbo, I saw 220kph several times over the 7 laps and it took 20 minutes - what a ride! (Had to limit it to 7 laps as the tyres were starting to go!)
p.s
Driving in my brother's car at the magnificant Bathurst circuit (in New South Wales) was fantastic!!!

The two special cars (In my opinion, these cars are special) that I drove which was a great memory. The Ferrari 512TR on the road & the Acura NSX on the circuit. Both cars, I drove it about 6 years ago.
