@ PATo355: these are standard Volvo alloys
@ Speedkillar: mine is a turbo too
@ Badmihai: Basically my sig gives it all away, wrote the following six word carreview for TopGear "Highway cruiser, B-road bruiser in one"

Nice car, i like the Volvo 480, it was my favorite Volvo when there was the 740 :D
Hopefully, now they made evolve their design but the 480 is always fine looking.

Very interesting Volvo. I dont think that was every even remotely avalible here in the states. Looks like a fun ride with very very unconventional asthetics for Volvo. Does she handle as nicely as other hatches?

Well VerderameJ,

back in the early eighties of the previous century the Volvo 480 was designed with the export t North America as one of its reasons d'etre. Her design was even 'patented' in your country.
Due to a number of reasons: the very low value of the US Dollar against the Dutch Guilder being the main one and Honda selling their Accord Aerodeck at dumpprices in North America being another one, Volvo ultimately decided against it.
If she handles as nicely as other hatches ? 80 - 120 km/h acceleration in 8.5 seconds and the engineers of Lotus took care of her roadmanners. Who could ask for more :?: As I wrote earlier, she's the best of both worlds: "Highway cruiser and B-road bruiser in one".
But than again, I'm obviously very, very biased
