Anybody here ever heard of the thunderbolt? I just saw something on speed about it. I guess it was a fairlane that Ford modified and put a 427 side oiler in that had 425 hp. They were sayin that car dominated at the drag strip. I then looked it up and there is one that belonged to Mickey Thompson himself. It was a 64 with a 427 and hemi style heads. I didnt know they made those. Well here is a link if u wanna see what i am talkin about.

ooo, ive read about them in one of my muscle car books. Its probably my second favourite car in there. They are completely stripped out cars made for Drag racing only. Dealers warned buyers not to drive them on the street because they were track-only cars that were street legal. Also, they had lightweight front fenders, and many other parts. In the book it says that these cars from the factory, would run mid-11s on the 1/4 because they came with factory installed slicks. If you want me to type out the page in my book, id be more than happy to do it tomorrow.
