Who thinks that the new Ford campaign is crap? I think they did not do very much research before running the ads. Look again? Does that sound like a desperate plea to anyone else? "Please look again....one more time....please?"

I am a dual major in advertising and marketing at Oklahoma State University. I wrote and entire paper on the subject of Ford's horrible advertising. Hahaha

Cha-ru. I mean, the new GT would be lovely...but, you are reminded that it shares the same stuped 5.4 liter Triton found in the F-150 pick-up (america's favorite vehicle) and the Econoline vans. Sounds like a Viper all over again.

Now don't get my wrong. I think that most of the new Ford vehicles are looking great. I think they will be more quality made. I am not criticizing their cars...just their campaign.

I would have to agree, their new cars, for example: the GT, is going to be great but their advertisment campaign is not any good. They are lucky they are making better cars and most people know that otherwise they would be in it deep

^^^Chill dude, all he's saying is Ford themselves are implying they made crap because they are asking people to take another look at them, which means sometime in the past people stopped looking at Fords...probably because they thought they were crap. I think there are some pretty crappy Fords...most of the cars they made in the 1990s...Taurus, Escort, Windstar, V6 Mustang, Aspire, Contour, Probe, etc were not the greatest examples of automotive engineering, you must admit.
Yea, I don't think its the best path to take, but then again American auto makers are sometimes very clueless when it comes to advertising, and other times very astute.
Does anyone remember GM's ads where they apologized for making POSs for the last 20 years?

Ford forgot that they made cars for awhile.... the mustang is a great example rebody a car that has its origins from the 70s... the new one is a first new platform for almost 30 years...lol
to me its not the advertizing its the quality... i bought the focus svt...( the equivalent for a st170 in europe i think) and the damn engine light is always on... people want a honda or toyota that never gives them problems..
the advertizing is trying to say that they are changing.... but if you look at the current line up for cars... its lacking... oh did i mention that i tried to sell them for a few months...the adds is trying to get the cars buyers to look again at Ford... becuase the most popular thing that i got calls for was the F150 or the Explorer

Relax... The bottom line is... Ford has made alot of unreliable, low quality cars PERIOD
Just go to the auto show and sit inside a few Fords
