Im confused, wasnt there supposed to be a third lambo model launched in Geneva. I heard rumours about a 2+2 gt or an suv. Personally I was hoping for the 2+2. Also anyone have any info on the gallardo spyder...?

There was a Murcielago spyder at Geneva this year.

yeah the murcielago roadster. Let's hope the SUV thing was just a rumour, i didn't like what they did when they tried to do a 4WD last time....the LM still stinks today.

lol for some reason I'm not picturing a Lambo SUV and I don't think I want to picture one.

Maybe its just me, but I think I'm the only one who does not think it would be a bad idea to make a Lambo SUV...I guess I just like the idea of having a fast car that has the ability to go off road if you need it..but I can very well see how many people would not like Lamborghini building an SUV

Yeah, I still see those old Lambo SUVs for sale in DuPont. They are sad. However, a Gallardo Targa or Cabrio would be nice.

I don't think that "sad" is an apt description of the LM001, it was powered by the same engine that was in the Countach...i.e. a 485bhp 5.2L V12, and was capable of some pretty impressive performance figures on and off the road.

the cayenne posts impressive figures as well...but that doesn't mean it's pretty to look at. The LM001 is butt ugly.

An SUV wouldn't be such a bad idea.... If you remember, Lamborghini have been building tractors, even before they built cars. I'm sure people at the time when the first Lambo was built were unsure of it being worthy yo wear the same badge of their tractors.

It is inevitable, that Lambo needs to make some serious profit to plogh back into Research and Development if they want to survive. They cannot simply sap money from Audi and VW (these two companies are money hungry) and so they must meet their own financial costs.

P.S. It is a shame that the fantastic V10 from the Gallardo is going to power an audi S6/RS6 - they are both great cars, but Lambo will lose its exclusivity if it continues to do so.

Too late now. :P

I wouldn't want them to make another off-roader. However, a new supercar would be nice. 8)

Actually, I read an article that lambo is breaking even this year, and next year will see a profit...so its going in the right direction.
I dont like the fact that so many gallardos will be produced...but survival is important to keep getting the wonderful cars that lambo provides

I'm sure Lamborghini needn't build an SUV for survival. The MurciƩlago and Gallardo are a succes and a wider variety of models will also lure the fans of hardcaore Lamborghinis back.

I will say this again (and as many times more as I need to): The LM002 is NOT a goddamn SUV!!!! I'm not going to explain why once again, because I've done it a couple of times before. For those who are even remotely interested, use the search button. Not sure this will help, but I simply can't read this crap and keep quiet.

Fitting a Countach engine in a SUV...hmmm....something ain't quite right. SUV's shouldn't be turned into supercars.

i agree. but maybe a more reasonable priced "somewhat-supercar" sedan might be a good idea?

Lamborghini is a tractor manufacturer, so I don't see the problem in making a SUV. Still It sounds a lot cooler with a 2+2 GT.

There is a swedish guy who has tried to make a Lambo SUV already. OK, there is a slight difference between monster trucks are SUVs, and a Countach lookalike body doesn't make it a Lambo, but I had to mention it...
