Well..in most cars the speedo stops at a big impact like that. That one had stopped at 100. I don't know if it was mph or km/h, but an impact with a tree at even 100 km/h can do that to a car.

Just for the record this looks like it was in Portugal from what i can read from the number plate and the ambulance.

Stupid fuck that driver.

That speed is called "teen fast". It's when a teen gets a hold of daddy's car and overdrives their ability. I've seen it a thousand times. Damn shame.

i bet it was over 120 before hitting the tree

and the country is portugal... "emergência" and "bombeiros" written in the ambulance

does anyone know the story behind it?

i'd say closer to 170km/h. The high speed impact must've ricocheted the car in between those trees and ripped it in half. I'm sure the driver didn't make it...it's really sad to see something like this happen..

It doesn't really matter how fast he was going before he lost control. In this case, it matters what speed the impact occurred on. And the speedometer says 100 km/h.

I was thinking ti was a stolen car, taken for a joy ride, as there is no head unit cover, and there is something funniy in the ignition. Could be wrong though.
