and the majority said NA... but i dont understand why dont ppl chose a turbo charged or NOs or supercharged engine when they are generally faster??

i dont understand whats with it being NA??

atmospheric motors without turbo like ferrari motors etc etc.

True power without turbo or nitros...

A turbo engine... nowadays is a very different thing from it was a decade or two ago...
Nowadays you an have a turbo engine with pedigree, with a progressive kick, a drivable engine.. Just see the 911 turbo, for example!

NOS... It's a completely diferent thing... it just gives a few second kick, that is only used in drag races or in line driving... not very usable power..

But..if not given any particular case.. I would go for a good atmospheric engine.. raw power!!
Just see the GT3... for example! :)

No engine with force enduction can deliver a smooth powerband like an NA engine. NA are just better when they are properly done. Look around supercars and racecars. All of the best are NA like the ENZO, CGT, ZONDA. Look at race cars. 550GTS, C5R.....

Turbos are not fun on the track trust me.....

This is exactly right, and as for NOS, I know that kind of power is not usable, but I also understand that it is horrible for the engine...

Why is it that every body calls nitrous NOS? Nos is a brand name, its just like calling every tire out there goodyear. Smarten up and stop watching F&F.

i'm pretty sure superchargers give a linear power increase cuz the supercharger is directly linked to teh engine..hence the boost is proportional to the engine speed and is therefore linear. oh and what about the koenigseggs and Ford GT? they've got supercharged V8s :D

ill goe with a N/A motor, and then id like to tune it, and put either a cetrifugal super on it, or a twin turbo with a small "initial boost" turbo, and a bigger one that has huge cfm numbers.
super chargers are always easier to do
ill skip on the no2 shots cause i like the twists and turs

nothing beats the smooth feel of a naturally aspirated engine. Fine you don't get the surge of the turbos being spooled up...but you also can't say you own something that sounds as cool as an NA..quattrovalvole...

:fist: :fist: :fist: Are you not forgeting someone else? 0X 0X 0X 0X

BTW: N/A engines just sound better, and they deliver raw power (more "natural" ..if we can say something like that about an internal combustion engine). Also, they are more predictable and durable than forced induction (or ones that use "nawwwzzzzz").

i'm not trying to pick a fight, but what do you mean by raw power? and how are they more predictable and durable? granted that the forced induction engines have more parts, but given regular maintenence both should last jsut as long
