It's very difficult to find cutting edge dance/trance at music stores and what is available is usually imported and therefore extremely expensive.
Check out Ian Pooley if you haven't already. He has a very unique sound.
Has anybody noticed that the techno/trance world seems to have hit a plateau recently? A few years ago artists like Oakenfold, sasha, PVD were coming out with new and original tracks on a regular basis and putting together some great mixes (Another world, Havana cuba ect) on a regular basis. By comparison the industry seems stagnant today. The last really good mix I heard was by Tiesto-In Search of Sunrise and that was released over a year ago.

Try downloading the Bit Torrent client and go to www.suprnova.org , you will find a big list of full quality cds in Mp3 .
Try Tiesto , Paul Van Dyk , Paul Oakenfold , Sasha , Deep Dish , Felix da Housecat , Robbie Rivera .
Also they have some Ministry of Sound records , if you are more into Dance electronic music .
