thanks guys. yes engine swap is planned for the future...2 years probably. going to go with the 3.5 L nissan engine (VQ35DET) that comes in the new 350Z/altima 3.5/murano. very strong engine which will have a good life and mods for it should be plenty by the time i get ready to do so. :)

just a random fact...21 year old stock 280ZX in relatively good engine condition, does 65 MPH red line, in 2nd gear....i hit it in mine all the time....this car is a super car, even compared to some of todays cars...

i was looking at getting a 260Z (dont know if you get them in the states or other countries, but we have them here in Australia) very nice cars indeed. i have a soft spot for the old school nissans/datsuns.

hmmm....we do have the 260Z. Not to discourage you, but it was definitely the worst of the Z's. Only produced for 1.5 years, it was the heaviest of the Z's. Always hear bad things about them. Try getting a 240 or 280 :) Good luck!

I cannot believe that 280Z, it is absolutely breath taking. The more I stare at the pictures the less oxygen I have for my very own lungs. I'm glad that people still go to such great lengths to keeping there cars in beyond showroom condition. Massive props to you my man. :mrgreen:

Lovely 280. I love the white with red striping. Very distinct. Usually I dont care for enormous wings, but I have to say that I am not bothered by the one you have put on, quite the opposite in fact. Nice work. I hope you throughly enjoy it. :)
