just wondering if u anyone else play magic the gathering (card game) besides me

I just started playing again for a month now been taking up most of my boredom time

I just got a girlfriend to help me solve that boredom problem. That means I don't play magic. Is it good?

never played it.heard of it though but i just couldnt be bothered buying all those cards then i would get bored of it soon after probably :D

I have about 60 of them at home, I has a pool table at school so we used to play for these cards. However I never learned to play :)

I was a role games player for quite a long while... never understood how somebody could prefer a card game :roll: :D

Our group never wanted to play something different than D&D and AD&D :D the best of the best IMO :D

I have played some too back in the days M.E.R.P. , AD&D, Cyberpunk, Call of cutulu (sp?) and then some more that I cant remeber....

Dungeons and Dragon or Advanced Dungeons and Dragons... I can't believe you really never heard about the most famous and best selling role playing game ever

Aaaah Dungeons and Dragons, now it comes up to me, I've heard about it, but
i'm not into those role playing games.

I've played role games several times but definitely I don't like them. Perhaps I don't have enough imagination to enter into that world but playing these kind of games bore me... :roll:

Yes I knew many ppl unable to play more than 30 min.. usually they love Magic because you need less imagination someway.. it's more dinamic... but when I think the good old days when we played maybe some 2 days in a row with just a short night inbetween... so nice... so involving...

Same for me. I dislike RPGs. And I have heard of dungeons & dragons. I just didn't know what the heck D&D was.

My older brother plays it. He sort of explained it to me, but he explained me how the tournaments are put together and how expensive it is, TOO much profit taken from that. He told me about being able to use the last 2 releases or some stuff so I lost all interest. Besides, I rather play basketball and lift weights :)

I was a role games player for quite a long while... never understood how somebody could prefer a card game :roll: :D

because RPG and MTG have almost nothing in common?

IMO just the base idea.. vaguely... the "real" RPG go way more indepth and are way more involving

yeah looks like you've never tried it out :) MTG has nothing to do with the RPG thing (except for the card pictures, wich however have absolutely no effect on the game). It's a logical/strategic game, I guess you can better compare it to chess than to AD&D.
