It was you who shoot the pics? If yes, did you use a light tent?

yes sir, today in my bros atelier

Ah okok, so I guess you didn't use a simple light tent but the whole stuff with the proper lights and so on... I have a friend of my dad that is a photographer and he has all the stuff needed... 400 km from here..
But I'm considering to buy one of those nice and handy light tent.. sort of a cube, white allover.. and you just place the lights outside it to obtain the perfect light inside...

Whats the obsession with model pics here. I saw a 360 and an american muscle car in he gallery yesterday. I often find that the modles have wierd looks, out of proportion with differnt wheels. This is no exception.

Oh well... Someone must like looking at these pics, i guess its only harmless fun :D

Very nice model!!! Just curious, what did you pay for it?

Judging by the pics it's probably a Maisto as pointed out by tiger indeed. In that case it costs some 35 to 40 USD normally.

that isn't cheap, but then again, it is quite a nice model!!

Well actually it's almost the cheapest you can go for 1/18 models.. the good ones are from 80 USD up... and that reminds me a nice Miura SV, orange is waiting probably for me to pick her up tomorrow :D ... sadly it's not cheap to collect 1/18 models in good quality like Autoart or Kyosho... that's why I prefer to stick to 1/43 ;)

But well, a nice 1/43 model costs like a 1/18 Maisto usually.. so.. still not cheap :(

damn, to be honest I didn't know all of that. I do like these model cars but I avoid starting a collection because I know my wallet wouldn't condone it :P I have a few models. A very nice one (IMO) of an F50. Futher then that about 25 1/43 models. Never bought them, allways recieved them as a gift. Last Christmas for instance 2 girl (friends of mine) bought me 3 1/43 scale models :D

Hell, so you don't want to collect them but you basically have more than me!! I think I have some 23 1/43 and 5 1/43 only :D

I've become a 1/18 collector over the past two years. I now have 20 1/18 models, 7 are Ferrari's. My newest is a black Carrera GT by Maisto.

well you can buy some MAISTO "high" quality product from zeller for like 40CND. but i wouldn't recommend this brand. Autoart is a much much better company but it does cost significantly more and it doesn't make the carrera GT (i think).

Did you raise the spoiler in second last pic? It looks like it's raised and I was wondering if the spoiler on my black Carrera GT would raise, but I was afraid I might break it. Mine is also by Maisto, how did you lift it up?

MIHALS

just take it and lift it up  ....if u open the hood, u can see the mechanism how it works. got it ???

I don't think mine can lift up. It looks like it could, but it seems too hard to lift. Looking at my car and your car in the pictures, I have noticed some differences, eventhough mine is Maisto too. The differences I see are: my engine cover glass does not have holes, mine has air intakes beside the glass cover, my spoiler is not attached to the engine cover, it's attached to the back of the car, my door handles are at a different spot, my car does not have front fog lights, and my car has a red light beside each exhaust outlet. Also, my license plate is positioned differently at the front and it does not say Porsche, it is a German plate that says S GT 2003. I know that Maisto released a prototype Carrera GT when the car was first unveiled. That was before they released the production model GT. Maybe yours is the prototype GT because I know mine is the production GT, or maybe Maisto sells different cars for Europe than North America. Does your car have complete working suspension, including real springs in the engine, mine does. Thanks for your help anyways.

yes, that means uve got a production model. I know ive got the prototype, because of those back red lamps next to exhausts (i havent got them) and the dashboard from prototype. I think uve got indicators from the turbo (as in real). these days they have already this production version in my country too, but im not that rich to buy nearly the same model  ....what uve got yet :?:
