W220, S280??? Please help!

Guys I heard that in the UK they sell S280 with the shape of the W220!

I want to know if its true...coz I didn't see any in Europe!!! It would be

nice if some can comment on this "fact".

yes indeed, they sell the S280 in europe.. at around £46k on the road infact.
the 280 isn't sold down here in australia, though it was sold here in the W210 range. it is only available in short wheelbase.

Does it have the same spec as the E280? Its a shame for me that is already

looks like the 280 misses out on alot of nice things the 320 gets.
the 280 is a bit pointless imo.. its an s-class, if you cant afford one, look elsewhere; no need for an underpowered and seemingly underequipped model.
or maybe im wrong..

yeah it is sold in south east asia, where import duties are much higher, hence the need for a lower range car class. besides, where we're from, s-classes are a dime a dozen. In melbourne it's extremely rare to catch any S-classes at all, and even if i do find one, it's usually either top of the range, or close to top of the range i.e. S 55 or S 500 or S 600
