Sounds like it could be entertaining. Clarkson is pretty damn funny, so I'm sure this series could be good.

I'm interested in it.

I missed tonights episode and so far I have only seen the Belgium/Netherlands show. Loved it. And I don't want to wait 'till the next series of TG starts before I get to see JC again. So yes, I'm interested.

it costs about £1 here per gigabyte....not bad when I remember back in 1992 a 2 gig drive was £2,000....which of course now would be £2....if only car prices went this way as well.....we would all be driving around in F40's now :D

I prefer cheaper HD than cheaper Ferraris! I don't want to live in a world where every dunbass (me included :P) can drive one :D
Ferraris are to be as a rare sight as possible :)

BTW, I'd like to buy some more GB ;) the problem is not the price, but the fact I won't be able to install the new HD alone (to scared)...

Jabba
07-30-2003, 05:01 AM
well I am sure the current Ferraris will always be expensive...I just wish the F40 wasnt still so much damn money....

I can guide you TT...it really is easy now-a-days...it should take no more than 5 minutes....depending on how much room you have in your case..

You're kind, and I know it's only matter of pulling in a socket and find a place for the drive...
But I'm scared about finding the right socket  and then the part where the PC has to recognize the new HD...

Ok, now you can laugh :D

Jabba
07-30-2003, 05:29 AM
no I wont laugh cause I was very nervous when I did my first one...especially as they were very expensive then...

I have done around 30 now...without any problems that I couldnt sort out...

the IDE cable can usually go in only one way..and if you cant be botherd to work out which way it should go in (following the pink stripe on the cable) then I have never done any damage by getting it wrong the first time (not that I recomend that you get it wrong of course)

then the bios usually auto detects your new drive...so no setting up there anymore with all those head and cylinder settings like in the old days...

then most modern O/S like XP usualy auto recorgnise everything for you...unless its over 100 GIG then you have got to do a little more work...

it really is alot more automatic and straight forward than most people would think...

I remember when these shows were first shown on TV and I enjoyed watching them - Jeremy's humour is classic :)

Jabba, I saw the show advertised but only caught the last 5mins and was really annoyed, any chance I could download it from you ?? - Erm how do I get access to the download area - lol :P

If I remember correctly the show in France is where he breaks down and by chance happens to stumble across the only English speaking E-Type Jag expert in the country.

Yes that is the programme and you can indeed download it from me (I have upgraded your account)...but I am experiencing a current back log of shows at the moment....as there has been quite a few decent shows on recently...
