sportscar event 2003 in Salzburg...again nice cars !!!

only a few weeks after the superb event in Velden, the next highlight in austria :shock:
the event took place at the beautiful casino in Klessheim, Salzburg.
to keep the event exclusive, only 106 lucky owners were permitted to attend.
( the full list can be found in the "Austrian" section "offizielles forum..." )
although the event in Velden`d been more special ( CLK GTR Roadster, Zonda S,F40 LM...)
there were also some nice cars around in Salzburg:
Dauer Bugatti EB110, F40, GT 40, Lambo GTR, some nice Porsches including a 550 Spyder, one of my favourite cars ever...
what makes this event special are the three parts:
first, there`s the presentation in front of the casino were you can chat with the drivers and take a closer look to the cars. second, a uphill race at the mountains around salzburg, a unique chance to hear and see the SOUND and performance of the cars. finally all the cars race around the salzburgring...pedal to the metal.... :twisted:

again i`ve taken over 250 pics, and here are some for you guys...
give me a little feedback after watching ( for improvements on upcomming events, more pics of... )

st. anger: Those are beautiful pics, I love the Bugatti, it is still one of the best looking cars out there, hands down. How did the Ruf do on the track, was it faster than the GT2? I fogot the link to your other event (Valden) that you captured, would you be so kind as to put up that link again, thanks in advance.

it`s hard to say what car`d been the fastest because nearly all the drivers with the exotic cars were too much looking after their cars not to crash `em :wink:
but when i talked to the guy with the Lambo GTR after the race on the salzburgring he told me that the fastest cars were definately the RUF, EB110 and his Lambo. especially on the uphill race, the RUF must have been untouchable because of the compact shape in comparison to the EB110 and the GTR. on the track itself the EB110 was definately the fastest, i think Mr. Jochen Dauer ( who drove it there himself ) has some practice on the track.it would have been nice to see a head to head battle with some pro drivers, the GTR against the EB110...and the RUF with the PZero Corsa from the GT2....
but the real star on the track had been the GT40....the sound :shock: of that thing and the flames :twisted: out of the exhaust are truely insane

Very nice pics indeed, specially the red porsche 911 GT2, the grey EB-110,although i didnt fancy too much with the trim on the lamps of the grey 500 maranello(i think that it was on the third photograph)

The R-Turbo is surely faster than the standard GT2, the actual one has 590hp if i´m not wrong and accelerates from 0-60 in just 3.6 seconds.
