Having seen the race and read some of the comments I fully agree with the point of views as taken by the edittor of Pitpass.com

A superb win for Ferrari, but a win that will send shockwaves down the pitlane and throughout the sport. Despite the brave efforts of Fernando Alonso, this was a rout, and (literally) a Sunday afternoon drive in the park for the reigning World Champions.

Some will blame the new qualifying format, some, believe it or not, will surely blame Ferrari and Schumacher, but the fact is that the opposition has to raise its game.

Rather than looking at how it can screw more money out of everyone it should be looking seriously, and urgently at how the product can be improved.

This is not a criticism of either Schumacher or Ferrari, what they have achieved here is quite stunning, especially at a time when so many pretenders are 'talking up' their chances, and others are predicting that the German should be considering retirement.

Formula One has deluded itself by believing after a comparatively successful season in 2003, the nightmare of 2002 is dead and forgotten. The pundits continually 'talk up' the sport, when what really matters is what happen on Sunday afternoon.

The solution isn't too handicap the successful - can you imagine that happening in other sports - it is too ensure that the opposition raises its game.

A great performance from Schumacher, Barrichello and Ferrari, but Ecclestone, the FIA and the opposition must start to take a long hard look at the sport and start focussing on what matters rather than celebrities, tobacco, the European Union and how to make more money.

its the same problem with qualifying i don't watch it anymore live because its boring .
normally it was fantastic the last 15 minutes on television and at the circuit you could see most of the cars for 60 minutes .
it wasn't busy at the track in the beginning but there was action now you see every one and half minute one car .
does anyone remember the days of the 80's when someone like senna stayed on the track to destroy the laps of his concurents.

I was at the race, I more than enjoyed the race, esp the deafing sound and the Ferrari 1-2 was a great start to the season. Blame Max Mosley for the stupid qualifying system that has made it boring and the 2lapper even more boring(cept for the lap the ferrari's are running).

Also have to say the entertainment after the F1 was boring as well, besides the V8Supercars there was nothing worth hanging around to watch, unlike the past couple of years. Pity the spectators only represent about 1% of the actual audience and thus not of real importance...

I've said before on previous boards, that there should definetly be a spending cap in F1 racing. Lets be generous with 100 million, teams that decide to spend more can do so however will be given a weight penalty relative to the additional millions that have gone into the development of the car. So if you spend lets say 110 million the extra 10 you spent translates into an extra 20lbs added to the car. That's merely an example but I believe F1 would be a lot more competetive and thus more exiting.
