finally my dealer has managed to get one for me!!!
i got the call when i was on my way to the "Myth Sportscars" event in salzburg ( i`ll post some pics of the event later...)
unfortunately the car don`t look like the way i want it to be, so some changes are needed...
color: from grey to merlot-red
wheels: instead of standard the turbine styling ( really nice!!! )
full leather interiour in beige
wooden interiour applications
electronically controled seats with memory and seat heating
M-sportchassis
park distance control
xenon headlights
.....

when it`s finished it should look like this:

i`ll post some pics as soon as it`s delivered...
btw on monday my dealer gets a M3 CSL as well, so maybe there´s a chance to go on a test drive with it :D

with bimmer having great technology in their cars, i'm surprised to see an antenna sticking out its arse :?

me parents have an accord and a car with half the tech of a bimmer, it doesn' have an antenna poking out.

TT
07-27-2003, 08:23 AM
Uhm.. also my 320i doesn't have it, but in that case it's usually in the rear glass... and I suppose it's not great for cabrios...

lol racing, are you really concerned about this....???

what i`m really concerned is, that the longer i`m thinking of that CSL on monday, the more i want that ride too!!!
so maybe my dealer can offer me a special price for both 8)

ok i`ve to go now and rob a bank......

the tech of a bimmer, it doesn' have an antenna poking out.

haha a simple solution 2 you're problem, just leave it in a shopping cntr car park in the middle of the school holidays or weekend - simple!

hahah yea i'm concerned :D
like beav said leave it in a shopping centre. actually leave it overnight, more than just the antenna will be gone

hope you get that ride!!!

here are the first pics of my new Z4 in front of my house, some more follow when i`m back home again...
after the changes BMW made to it, now i think it really looks nice with merlot-red and the beige leather interior and the other wheels.
what can i say from the ride back home....in short, again the 3.0 is the best 3ltr engine on the planet, the ///M chassis is quite stiff but also comfortable, i`ve choosen the 5speed automatic with tiptronic, IMO a very good alternative to the 6speed manu., especially when in tiptronic and "Sport" mode.
the only drawback so far`d been the price, 59505.63€ is kinda expensive for a BMW roadster ( Porsche Boxster S: ~60k€ )
but who cares, now i´m off taking a ride.... 8)

b4 i forgot, here are some pics of the beautiful CSL....already sold :? , otherwise maybe i couldn`t resist to grab my cheque book again.....

I see you're another member of the "My car is always clean, ALWAYS!" club :D

Keep it that way!

BTW, I never watched under the hood of a Z4 and how strange is that strut brace (not sure about the name)...

LOL you should see my E65 which i use for a daily driver, it`s dirty as hell....
but the Z4 is for the weekends and ( ...call me stupid ) i love to clean ( my ) cars on weekends.

yep that bar ( don`t know the engl. term either, we call it "domstrebe" )
looks also different...greetings from Mr. Bangle

I was reading on an old evp, about a guy that clean cars for a leaving.. from Pandas to F50s... he is cleaver and he loves his job.. but what about his customers? It so nice to clean your car, to take care of it.. why to pay someone else to do it for you?

Excellent pictures st. Anger. The Z4 is currently one of my favorite BMW's. Definately an improvement on the Z3. It looks great in that red color.

i`m glad you all like the pics, maybe some more to follow...
the cribs thing is easy to explain: my wife is in real estate, so we have some houses in that category...you wanna buy one??? i`ll give you her number

yeah maybe i should change that pic, because right now i only have bimmers but my hearth will always beat for Porsche, not only because i worked for them some time ago, IMO Porsches are simply the BEST sportscars... :!:

HAHAHAHAAH I am one of his customers.....look at some of my photos and you will see "perfection" valeting in the background....why do I use him ??? well he can clean and polish a car like I could only dream of doing.....and I guess time as well is a factor....

i think the new BMW z4 is a great car and big step ahead of the z3. its styling is great, and it must be a blast to drive. can't wait to see the m version.

Is that an auto in it? why did you get an auto box?

Great car, nice house mate. Bloody nice. My mothers uncle is in realestate also, and he's got a gorgeous house. I hope I was in real estate.

Congratulations st-anger on a beautiful car. You have excellent taste in colors. it's probably the best color for a Z4. very nice.

just one question - why did you choose an auto?

st-anger
09-01-2003, 02:26 AM
sorry for not posting immediately but i arrived back from holidays just some hours ago.....

why auto....
simply explained: the Z4 is just for the summer and especially at weekends. so i thought i take the auto just for relaxing matters.
and my E65 has also auto so i don`t really care...
and in combination with "sport" mode the Z4 truely can be a beast.
so i wanted a chill out car and no real sports car, where you must have a 6 manu, otherwise i´d have chosen a Porsche...

the real estate thing is quite interesting, on the one hand my wife`s job, but on the other hand my little hobby. the house on the pic is where we´re liveing most of the time but we also have some other ones.
that`s the reason why i don`t have a GT2 or something like that...

gis
09-01-2003, 08:27 AM
lol,so your wife chooses the house, you choose the cars.very good decision there dude.lol

you think you will get the GT2 in the end?

Very nice car st-ranger. Congrats on your good purchase. I would have picked an other colour, but I can't comment on your taste in any other way!!

Would love to have a drive in a Z4 3.0 some day. Looks great, is supposed to handle good and the engine is a blast. 5,9 sec to 100km/h that's fast for such a car.

Enjoy it!! But for some reason, I'm sure you will

lol,so your wife chooses the house, you choose the cars.very good decision there dude.lol

well, kinda like that...
when she knows something of a crib that`s interesting we sit down and do some talking...
but on the other hand it`s nearly the same with the cars... :?
i mean i don`t really need a TT, GT2 or whatever, it has been and is part of my job, dealing with some nice cars, and when you have some good connections with the right ppl too.....
and so my wife asks me "why do we need a 150k € car"...???
i partly understand what she mean, because i know that i wouldn`t have the time to enjoy such a car because of my work.
but when i`ve earned enough money to retire  i´ll surely get my fun car...

some ppl also say they`d have picked another colour but what????
grey, black.... no. everybody has the Z4 in such colours.
have you seen the colour for real ??? it really looks better than on the pics on the net.
concerning to the engine....IMO one of the best R6 engines in existence, and yes, i really love to drive it, sadly i hardly have the time for it.

I guess good choice, im not really a Z fan, i like the 350Z roadster, and Honda S2000 better than the Z series cars, they just look better. I also dont like the new Mercedez SLRs coming out especially the McLaren one. So ugly. Well anyways have fun.

I see what you mean about buying a car and not having the time to use it, but here's a good idea, you can adopt me and i'll drive it for you...all day and then tell you about it...sound like a good deal doesn't it??
