Hye,
I am fond of golfing. Are there any golfers around? If so, where do ya play, and how many times a month. What handicap do you play....and what courses can you recommend?

Shit.. I'm already worried about geekdiggy's reply about handicaps... please dude, think twice before posting :P

At last another crazy golfer on the forum - I started golfing about 9 months ago, being playing at least twice a month, work permitting! handicap is 18 - dont laugh, it helps me beat all my pro-amateur pals with handicaps between 5-7!
I just bought a new King Cobra driver (its a 440 SZ with 10.5 degree loft, regular shaft) - what a pleasure to swing it - I get about 225m with it, hitting the fairway most of the time
South Africa is a golfers paradise! the weather is perfect most of the year round and to play a round costs about 8-10 dollars if you a club member.
In Durban there are over 10 golf courses to play at, and thats just one city
Cape Town and Johannesburg have some of the most fucking difficult courses I have ever played at - that crazy muthafucker Gary Player has made a course with some of the longest holes ever! ( those that are not golfers will probably be rofltao)
My favorite courses are the Sun City in Gauteng, Zimbali and mount edegcombe in Durban, Fancourt near George, Wynberg Golf and Arabella estate courses in Cape town... if you ever in town, drop me a mail and we must have a game :D

speaking of Ernie Els, he owes me $50. 8)
a year or two ago i had the chance to sit in his private Players Box with himself and some friends of his at the Heineken Open. to cut a short story shorter..
[as we watch another golfer on the green]
Ernie; "what do ya say.. $50 says he makes it in, ok?"
Myself; "yep, hes got no chance."
[we shake hands]
the guys missed it.. lots of talking and such as a result.
i never got my $50
had a good time. hes a nice, funny bloke.

however i will say my dad and i used to golf but i lost interest in it after i realized how much of a sport it's not, that was when iwas in like 8th grade or something, and i was a terrible golfer. all those years of playing hockey did absolutely nothing for soft hands
I am a scratch golfer... that would be scratch and sniff... that's how much I stink... ;)

i play gold on the vary rare ocasion, my dad is a crazy golfer, i believe his handicap is something like 3-4. he has played all around the world, and is a very good player, but never got the time to persue it profesionaly.
anyway, one thing i love about golf is the golf buggies, otherwise it's can be the shittest day of you're life, lol
