There was a mention in a past thread about maybe me running a game server for the JW members. I am willing to do this on one of my servers but I am first curious how many folks out here do alot of online gaming and what the current most popular choice is.

Is Counter Strike still the deal or is there another hot online game to run?

Yeah,Thats brillant idea..Counter strike is a classic,What about Battlefield 1942 or Medal of honour?,if you can do that?I'm huge fan of WW2 games,..

Ooo I play CoD. Its kinda rare now becuase I'm always tired and I have a lot of crap to finish. But CoD is probably one of the best games I've ever played.
Anyone here play UT2k3?

A seasoned CS veteran here. Right now cable's being kinda fruity though so I dunno if I'll be able to play :( (like 250+ pings everywhere).

I play Americas Army, it has come on a long way since it started....oh..AND ITS FREE TO D/L....

The game is just realistic, nothing fancy, but when you get into it, a lot of fun.

Nice idea but my connection is not good up to my graduation..
Imo Cs all the way cause others has no gameplay on multiplayer..

Just download from kazaa, edonkey, emule, etc. All of these have at least one or two versions. Just do a search! :wink:

As JW is mostly car related, I'd say a racing game.
Live for speed is my suggestion.

1.6 is the most recient release of counter strike, just download half life off kazaa, the problem will be finding a working key...

Last version I played was 1.5..
Dont know anything about 1.6 but it is only problem for clashin about keys..
I was playin easly online by HL key generator..
Just server needs official key..
Maybe I can be wrong..

I think it's a great idea...I agree it would be suitable to have a driving simulator (I love the Need fo Speed series, and my favourit is NSF Porsche 2000 the most realistic fot me), but I also like games like Medal of Honour.

I think we will start with a CS server. The server side bit of the game would have to be free cause im not gonna buy a license just to never play it.

At this point I dont have time to play online.

neither do i rely, and whan i do i play on the same server as my friends, and my local comunity.
nothing personal but i don't think i would ever get time to play int he jabbasworld one, and there is also the issue of time differances.
