View Full Version : I'm concedering a Lamborghini Gallardo
Well im new to this forum and i want your opinions on the purchase of a lamborghini gallardo.I am getting a fairly good deal the car is brand new and has some extras and it will cost me 1.1 million swedish krone( the list price is 1,4 million). The car is orange 3 layer colour and so on....
So i want to know if you guys think its a good deal or is there any other alternatives???
I can get a ferrari 360modena here for 750-800.000 kr(used of course)....
So ile be very happy to read your opinions and espacially from someone who have driven one or both of theese machines...

You should find a host allowing remote linking and use the tags... or just post the direct url to the pics... but someway you have to put them online somewhere..
And just curious... why to drive an S Klass at 18 years old when 99% of the 18 years old guys of the world would have a Supra, Skyline, Impreza, EVO, M3 and so on?

Thanks for the pics, of course nobody could be 100% sure, and they could be stolen somewhere else, simply be your parents' car or whatever, but we can't simply shoot every member having something more than a VW Lupo :P

Sadly for the Gallardo vs Modena fight I can only speak with the heart since I never drove one of them... but you will ever have the chance to buy a 360 Challenge Stradale for a good price, it would be the way to go IMO.
But well, it's true that in Sweden the AWD of the Lambo will help...

I still call BS. Take a picture of you holding up a piece of paper saying "THIS IS MY MERCEDES" with your picture phone, and then post the picture on http://www.uploadit.org It's free, all you have to do is sign up and upload the pictures.

About the Gallardo, after watching Tiff test drive it....i'm not too sure about it. I would go for the 360 Modena.

Well. I like the Gallardo, but the interior just screams "AUDI". Now there's nothing wrong with Audi, but in a Lamborghini I would want a better interior than that. Other than that, the Gallardo is a very nice car. I wouldn't know if I would choose a Lambo over a 360. If you are geting a great deal on it (buying it cheaper), get the Lambo, because that way when you sell it it'll still be worth alot.

but anyways i would choose the ferrari, cause the gallardo is like the baby murcielago and that makes it seem infirior

yea it is, but the cs is more of a racing car,and upgraded one, its like the subaru wrx and the sti, because there is a sti doesnt mean the wrx is cheap, and the gallargo is a whole different car but they did it thinking od the murcielago
i guess...then he should wait, if evo is correct, for the lighter RWD more powerful gallardo

i don't like a 360,i drive it and i think bad sound bad traction but great overstering,i prefer a 911 turbo or gt2 (my favorite)

I haven't driven Ferrari or Lambo. Like TT I speak with the heart,so Ferrari 360 modena, or even better the Challenge Stradale.
The Lambo is heavy (1500 kg), but don't forget it has a V10, 5L and 500bhp!It's sooo powerful and in a track it will outperform a Murcielago. If you want to save weight...you can change seats, thrown away sound deadning and so on..I' would do it, I'm a little radical about those things in a supercar. When the driving position is confy (so you can enjoy the car without bein full of pains in you body), the engine pulls and the balance is ok, I don't care about radio, carpets, noise( I want to hear the noise!!!)

Of the Lamborghinis today, I'd chose the Diablo. But I'm not that good at handling that car because of all the power, but I'd love a Gallardo. I've heared it is really simple to drive and steer, and (as Jeremy Clarkson said) for the first time, you can actually see what you've just passed. :P Tell me when you've gotten your Gallardo, cause I'd like to see it sometime. I'm not living far from Sweden.

I dunno, dont think that this is for real. If you had all that money to spend, and its something you enherited not raised by yourself, then I suppose you have a limit. I mean you can ran out of money. I would buy an expensive car too if I got the money, but I dont think I would be asking what should I get in a forum. I mean, those are supercars so I guess they are cars you love for a long time. For cheap cars or everyday drivers, it is ok to ask, but for a car in that pricerange, it should be a buy you've wish for so bad and can now afford. I mean, for regular cars, you want them to be good, you compare the drive of one with another. For supercars, you know they are good (not all, but you get what I mean). In buyin supercars, the thought of you in one especific one of them is more worthy than what it can do.
I dunno mate, its just me. I know if I had the money, I would get a Murcielago that same day instead of asking people for opinions, despite its VWish interior look.

I really hope u do own the S class and can afford the lambo.... if i was you id sell the 320i(i think it was u who had that as a daily driver....)or if not and u only got the benz hold on to it....cause u know for damn sure u aint gonna be drivin a supercar everyday. (and if u do what if it breaks what to drive while its in the shop) My pick is a lambo murcielago. ANd i dont think the gallardo is gonna out perform the murcielago. it had north of 570bhp

My answer to this is simple. Having a Gallardo at 18 is like a boosted stepping stone. If you drive that at 18 at 30 you move up to a murc, at 48 a 911 turbo or a carrera gt. I realize Audi has destroyed the refinement theory to an extent of driving a rougher car at younger age and a more refined car later in life but, that's another piece of the story. An s500 isn't meant for an 18 year old, it's too lame.
Essentially "it wouldn't be fun unless you are doing 120 down the highway with your head on fire" I forget who says that but it sums this up
I mean this is a happy warm type way.

No way sell it, luxury cars don't hold value very well. Buy something that will hold it's value. A timeless piece of art. Not a car that will become outdated by new gadgets and specialties.

I don't know, MAE came to a car forum on the internet, a place with lots of people who like cars. Posted a thread in Car Chat asking to get opinions about a couple of cars he is interested in. I don't think that means he is not using his own mind or shows anything about the money he may have.

not jealous at all actually. alot of people have enough money to buy a Gallardo, but most don't have the motivation to.
what bothers me more is how people don't use their own judgement to get a car. If someone needs resources, there are tons of videos and articles around made by people who have driven these cars..i see no purpose in this post aside from ego feeding and lack of knowledge about what goes into buying a supercar.

And saadie wich pic do you mean i dont se any other car on the pics and by the way im fom sweden.I talked to callen yesterday and he said that i should get the murcielago so i checked up the deal i was getting on that and its a black one with 3700km on it for approx 1.5 million skr.And as i said before i get a deal on the gallardo with approx 1000-1500 km orange one for 1million.So i watched the top gear video and i noticed that the murcielago did the track in 1.28 something and the gallardo in 1.25.8 so th ebig question is:IS it worth it.For the styling i think they are very equal but i love the murc doors but.......
So tell me what you think
and i might be abel to try the both out beacuse i have good contact with lamborghihi sweden and they are xcomming to the autoshow on 22 feb... :lol:

that is correct.when lambo was celebrating 50 years strangely with the murcielago made a better time.they 've made a better time even they ve done eith zonda(althoug zonda was in wet and has beatten everything....why don't they tes zonda in dry? :roll:

get the challenge stradale. Then with the extra dosh, get yourself a cooper S. I would love to buy the Stradale, but it costs too much since the Euro is appreciating exponentially here in Malaysia. But i'm glad you guys gave MAE a chance. Not all car owners/lovers are liars. This sense of distrust should stop, and people should stop LYING. It is not really true, the Murcielago did 1:28 on the first Stig hands but they tested it a second time and it did 1:23.8 or.7 :D So it's faster (really ?) :?
