No, the Enzo is the Enzo.. it was called FX and F60 for a while when it was still in the works, but the only official name is Enzo

No, as many people have already stated, it was merely speculation.
The press just figured that because there was an F-40 and then an
F-50 the the natural name for the next "extreme sports car", as Ferrari
calls them, would be F-60. They did the same thing with the rear wing,
in fact even after Ferrari made the official release most of the Automotive
press still thought that it would be called F-60 and that they would add
a rear wing.

The MMC is probably going to be less powerful than the Enzo in road trim (assuming that it makes production as a road car). Since Maserati and Ferrari are both under Fiat, there is no sense in making direct competitors for each other. The MMC is probably going to run a less powerful engine and heavier as well, so it *should* be a little bit slower.

As for the F60...that was the speculative name given to the Enzo prior to its public launch. It also carried the name FX and even the name of the engine (F140 I belieive) for a while. THE ENZO IS THE F60!!!!!

The public knew that it was no secret that Ferrari was developing a successor to the F50. However they did not have a name, so they merely assumed the car would be called "F60". Internally at Ferrari the car was known as the "FX" by management since they themselves had not decided upon a name. Just prior to the launch, the original art design model used by the design team was shown at an art exhibit as the "Ferrari F140", alongside a model of what would become the new Maserati Quattroporte. Finally, the car was unveiled to the public as the "Ferrari Enzo Ferrari".

So F60 evolves into FX evolves into F140 evolves into Enzo Ferrari. All the same car with different names along it development time. However the official name is indeed the Enzo Ferrari and not F60.

The fact that Ferrari presented and sold the car as the "Enzo" is not enough for you? The fact that on the car itself thre is not a single "F60" still not enough? What kind of proof do you need?

The F40 had the was made to celebrate ferrari's 40th aniversary. then almost 10 years lator came the F50 which celebrated the companie's 50th birthday. Thats why the press assumed the Enzo would be named F60. you see now ? :D

For some reason ferrari named it the Enzo, but that didn't affect the car itself or its performance. It still turned out to be the ultimate ferrari since the first Ferrari road car.
