One "Europeland" citizen has always been a fan of the Vette, even the C4 :-)

That engine sounds absolutely crisp and the sliding looked controllable, thanks for sharing

Not by the driver indeed ! It's Yvan Muller, WTCC champion in 2008. He said that it's the fastest car they have tested yet ...

It's not hated by most people here in the old world and has never been. It's just that it has never been considered a real sporscar and we like to make fun of it's old school construction. Maybe that's about to change. Personally I've been looking at C6:s with the 3LT/Z51 package at ebay and it's sick for how little money you can gett a 400bhp rwd sportscar.

Perhaps the Corvette is getting attention now because there are almost as many versions as ther are 911s.

There are finally GT2, GT3, Turbo, Carrera S and "base Carrera" versions.

And yeah, just think how many people have missed out one the 400bhp RWD powerhouses over the last 10 years .... that is how long there has been a regular large volume production 400bhp+ handling package Vette on sale. (not counting the 91 though 95 400bhp ZR-1 as it was hardly a "regular volume" car)
