View Full Version : My Race at Yas Marina Abu Dhabi

Hello Guys,
Long time since I posted.

This was an F1 support race at Abu Dhabi Yas Marina Circuit. I was racing in Chevrolet Super Cars Middle East Championship. I Qualified 9th and finished 5th.

I havenīt seen you around for a while, but if you need to disappear for some time in order to come back with good videos like this one, well, just do it ! :-D

The circuit looks fantastic on the screen, but would you mind giving us your impressions from your racing point of view?
Iīm sure most of us would love to have some laps there!

Marcefer, Well for me the high point of this circuit are the couple of corners on the Marina. Every time I pass there I think of Monaco. It is absolutely amazing.

Although our own home town track been completed for the past 6 years the one in Dubai, they are still building some hotels and roads and so on. I was expecting the same from Abu Dhabi Yas Marina Circuit, Strongly though over at Abu Dhabi It was all completed with in 2 years. Hotels and I am not talking about the one in the middle of it. There are like 6 or 7 of them around the track. The Stands, parking area and you get the idea. Only thing which is not working was that Ferrari building, thing which I still have no clue what is it.

I never liked Abu Dhabi city before. I only visited it twice before the circuit but let me say that I would be going there much more often now.

Nice race! Did any of those other cars get penalized for abusing the run-off areas?

The green car which you saw running beside me at the start of the race got penalized for agressive blocking, and some other car for using the curbs a little too offen.

I can't blame them the car can't handle at all. You get no feedback what so ever from the front and understeers like crazy, and if you play with the trottle it will over steer like crazy so not a very balanced car but everybody has the same car so it's all fair.

Before you the question. No you can't adjest the suspension or anything in that car except for tire preassure.
