Whatever people think about the collector car world, I'm not aware of any car selling privately, or at auction above 15,000,000 $. 160,000,000 is more than any home I've heard for sale... including the Hearst Castle. (or maybe that was 200?)

The world of art collecting is pure insanity on a whole other level.

Well damn.

It always amazes me the impact that some individuals have on our world. All of this hubbub because a man named da Vinci painted it. Truly amazing.

I will be kicking my nuts everyday if I were that New York art collector.

Seems that the ownership of the said painting can be traced directly back to DiVinci... and the fingerprint is the proverbial 'nail in the coffin' since his fingerprints are historically known (he painted with his fingers often).

The knowledge of that somehow got lost in an estate sale, and previous ownership through the centuries; which isn't ~that~ surprising.
