Apparently related to the 100 year anniversary; and to be shown at Frankfurt in Sept.

As long as it can go from a full tank to empty in under 15 minutes, I'll be pleased :)

it's a saloon, that will probably weight over 2.5ton and goes 0-60 in low 3sec with a top speed around around 230mph

Bugatti Bordeaux
I managed to score an invitation to the world reveal on Monday, Sept. 14, at the factory in Molsheim. Check in early that morning for bloggy newsflash and pictures. The Bordeaux –- and I’m not really confident that’s what they are going to call it –- is supposed to be a four-seat Bugatti with a version of the 1001-hp W16 quad turbo engine, turned around and stuck under a hood. Two doors or four doors? Price? As the narrator intones in “Citizen Kane,” “No man can say….”

Bugatti Galibier leaks out after private unveiling in Molsheim

After months of speculation, Bugatti has finally pulled the wraps off its new four-door supercar concept just ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show (http://www.autoblog.com/category/frankfurt-auto-show/) at an event for past customers and Bugatti-intenders. Up to this point, we've been referring to the French uber-sedan as the Bordeaux, but it seems the actual car's moniker will be Galibier – the name of a difficult Alpine pass along the Tour de France.

One of the Galibier's most striking features is undoubtedly its two-tone outer shell, which is comprised of both polished aluminum for the doors and front fenders and a unique dark blue carbon fiber weave that shines through when illuminated. We also note a prominent center spine that recalls past Bugattis like the Type 35 and the classically beautiful Type 57.

Powering the Galibier concept will be a version of Bugatti's ridiculously powerful eight-liter W16 powerplant. Unlike the mill propelling the Veyron to ludicrous speed, this version is mounted up front and is capable of running on ethanol fuel, which may or may not allow the automaker to squeeze a few more ponies out of the engine... not that it needs it, of course.

Current reports peg the Galibier's top speed at 217 miles per hour (350 kilometers per hour), which, while slower than the Veyron's epic terminal velocity, is certainly nothing to sneeze at. Check out our gallery of high-res images below.

it looks... big; too big. Something just doesn't seem right with the style, and for once, I can't put my finger on it.

A 4 door, as everybody expected.

It's got the unfortunate gait of a Panamera, but somehow, it looks okay as on a Bugatti.
In anycase, look at the interior!

Interior definitely looks unique and a nice place to be; NICE, not too much clutter like some of the luxo-sleds out now. Exterior is just tacky and ugly. Looks like they borrowed/shared the headlights with the new Bentley.

Makes perfect sense, considering that rumors of Bentley/Bugatti sharing costs for a new range of 4 doors been around for at least 4 years.

^Certainly not the way it looks? Honestly, the first thing that came to mind when seeing the picture nth posted was this:

Watch the Simpsons? Remember Funzo?

EDIT: that looks like four exhaust pipes in the back...one each side...tacky.

I think it has something to do with the Anime-esque headlight treatment and rather cartoonish proportions. Added to that, the lower intakes in the front end make the car look a bit like a catfish or like it has whiskers or something...

I've been perplexed by the Galiibeir a bit, and had a little more time to think about it.

What rubs me wrong about the style is that it tries to be a Veyron while simultaneously using the under pinnings of the next Bentley sedan/ limo.

What that causes is a conflict in design language; which interrupts the flow. Bentley are cars that appear to be chiseled from a solid piece of granite, not unlike a Rolls. Trying to round the edges with long flowing lines like found on the Veyron makes no sense. Mixing compound curves with hard edges can work, and work really well; but there really isn't much that combines the two elements here. The Galibier simply wraps around the Bentley shell.

The interior is... perhaps game changing...
