Maybe someone can help me out. I had the old version of messenger (4.7) which came instaled with windows XP and when i downloaded messenger 6.1 it didn`t install itself like over the old one and now i have both and they don`t seem to work. The problem is i can`t uninstall version 4.7 because it doesn`t appear on the add/remove programs list.
Forgive me if i`m asking a stupid question

Go to program files and find messenger and delete it.

Go to program files and find messenger and delete it.
But don't just delete the whole folder...Use the uninstall exe to get rid of the registry entries.

is it really imposible to delete the old one or to force the new one to install itself over ver 4.7??
