TT you have no idea how many tine I broke the mirros on my old Cherokee trying to pull in to that drive way.
LOL dude you need a smaller car for that drive way ;)

Congratulations Fast_car006
A formidable highway cruiser in a beautiful color.
One thing intrigues me though. Form the pics I understand that it's wintertime where you live. How do you ensure that your doors, boot and electric windows aren't frozen 'solid' in the morning after you've washed the car :?:

I wash my car in the early afternonns usually or go to a hand car wash by my house if it's too cold. I never really worried about freezing things though. Maybe because I usually go for a drive after the wash. That probably get most of the water off.
TT:
LOL That thing is cool where do I get one

very nice M3,it does look a lot like the CSL.whether it is or not its awesome.the rims are nice.

Actually that was the look I was looking for. I have the CSL front splitter sitting in my room right now. If anyone want to donate some money (pretty mush living off of watever I can take from my parent's & girlfriend's houses) towards the install I'll gladly post my paypal account.

Hehe, it's a Swiss electric "car".. you drive it with a central thing like in fighter planes.. it's called Twike and their website is www.twike.ch .. sadly they are not doing very well and always on the borderline between life and death.. my dad in Switzerland sold them for a while since he has a small dealership for electric bikes and scooters..
It's bloody funny to drive BTW :D and thanks to the small tires (and pumped at high pressure) you can also slide it scaring everybody (gravity center is very low and you won't flip ;))... max speed just 100 km/h and you can do around 60 km before having to charge it again... but a blast as a city car and you can park it everywhere :D you can even lift the front yourself since all the weight is on the back, to manoeuver it into small gaps :D
ok, back ontopic :P

I'm in the process of getting my masters in physical therapy. Cash comes from being a physical therapist's lacky (there's probably a better job description but this is the most accurate. The Car, I purchased for 27.5k (3 year lease up front). I was originally going to buy an WRX. But by the time the lease is up I'll buy the car out w/ cash from my salary and a pediatris physical therapist.
Mods:
GruppeM intake, Grounds Control GIZMO, Shark Injector Software (replacing it with Superchips soon), Pullies, SSK, SS x-pipe, Eisenmann Titaniun muffler, ACS sports suspension, ACS Front and rear strut tower bar, Eibach sawy bars, Turner motorsports rear shock tower mounts.
When I'm careful I can pay my bills buy a new toy every couple of months and still save a few hundred from each paycheck.
PS: Please make donations for the SS headers/cats and 3.91 diff to paypal account

Great list of mods, a few of questions - I read that the GruppeM intake did not give M3 any HP gains. Did you find that to be the case or did you care since it looks so good? Why are you going to change from Shark software? Eisenmann Tit muffler only or cat back? Just curious I have a stock M3.

Firstly, welcome Carlo & congrats on an awesome ride :)
I can't believe the price you paid for it, was that new?? I would love to have one of those one day (wouldn't we all) but for $130k+ Australian (compared to around $45k for a WRX) it seems a bit unrealistic :(

I dont know if the gruppeM really gave a alot of power. But there was definitely a little there. But it works pretty good when combined with the exhaust system. The Eisenmann is just the muffler. By adding the x-pipe, this gave me a catback set up. As for the software I just saw better results with the Eurobahn software (superchips). There were several independent dynoes showing good gains posted on bimmerforums. Also, there is a local eurobahn software dealer about 20 minutes from my house, meaning there is no need to ship out my ECU (no down time)
All the performance mods all really aid in mid to top end. There is definitely a harder pull when I perform a 6th to 3rd downshif@ 75mph

Fast_car006, if you were going to start with stock M3 all over again, what order would you do your mods? Also how do you like the ACS products (did you consider Hamann). Sorry to ask so many questions, but your mods are exactly what I was considering for mine (maybe Dixis exhaust). Let us know how like the superchips software when you switch. Thanks and oh yeah welcome to JW. Love the //M

Gto yeas the cars was new. I didnot get appreoved for the finance. I was originally going to buy the WRX in full. The 27.5k covered the 3 year lease. So i only pay insurance for now.

I'd do the
1. short shift kit.
2. suspension (mod you feel the most)
3. exhaust + gizmo (lees than $100)
4. intake
5. software
Haven;t heard the dixis yet but looks real light. I'll keep you posted on the software.

hi everybody. this is my 1st post here.
really nice wheels i must say. i'm currently evaluating a new set of summer wheels, those bbs look real cool. (i live in switzerland, in the winter we've got some snow so half of the year we drive with winter tires, mostly mounted on a 2nd pair of wheels.)
i also own a e46 m3, carbon black, smg ii gearbox, 19" bmw wheels, supersprint exhaust, eibach springs, brushed alu interieur, black leather seats, black backlights, black bimmer stickers (instead of those blue ones), black steering wheel, black console under smg stick. black everywhere actually, even the tires.

wow that sounds like so much fun. Too bad we don't get fun contraptions like that in the states. I would like to try ridiing one of those things sometime.
I like the shoes on that M3- I think the GruppeM carbon intake for the M3 only looks good for that color since it has a hint of yellow in it. Well, technically it's more of an air collector than a conventional intake system with an air filter since the M cars have ITBs and no intake manifold. Nice choice on the mods-

I could tell that right away when I saw the houses in the background and when you parked your car in the alleyway. Brings back memories of me visiting my grandparents in Canarsie. I have always appreciated the M3's, may get one myself. The mods that I am doing on the Cobra, I am using the new M3 as a performance benchmark.

Thanx again for the pics, damn your ride looks more agressive with those mods, what a beauty.
The carbon add-ons sure give something special to the car, although I have to admit (don't take that as a critic.. just a personal preference) I don't like to much the carbon on that body color... but still exclusive stuff! :D

Thanks for the comments. No offense taken TT. And yes Jabba the intake is from GruppeM. Supposedly there are more intakes coming out in the next couple of months, as well as a couple of superchargers. Sadly I can't afford $8-10k on the supercharger. Maybe some of the members can give me an early birthday present :D .

Fast_car006

There isn't much left to do with the car besides headers (almost all of the money saved up), cams and 3.91 differential. Not definite about the supercharger, even if could afford it. It does give you the highest horsepower per dollar though 70-80hp.

When I had the supersprint x-pipe, it was too loud for my taste. The drone under 3k rpm annoyed me at times. However, after installing the center resonator its perfect, at least for me. It sounds aggressive but not loud anough so that I get complaints from some passengers (the older folks ie. parents & boss). It is loud enough to set off car alarms though. When I role from a dead stop at a stop sign.

are those genuine CSL front spoilers? I've been thinking of adding that on as well (it'll look awesome on sterling gray....just like the CSL..), and getting the lightweight OEM CSL rims. Any idea if the real rims are for sale?

I purchased the splitters (not authentic, the authentic splitter are part of the bumper) from umnitza.com. They are dealer for motorsportdetail. As for the CSL rims, try turnermotorsports (I heard the had a set or two left) and Bekkers.com.
