Thats exactly how the R8 should sound since the beginning, yes it sounds like a lambo, but that sound is sex on your ears!!

the lambo v10 drones on you after a few hours. otherwise, it's a great sound in small doses.

What exactly is the point of the R8 anyway? I mean if you want a V10 midengine car, why not just buy a Gallardo and be done with it? And the original V8 version sort of sits in a clumsy nomans land.

Not quite as slow as an Audi TT, but not quite a quick and nimble as an EVO ;)

Looks like an Audi, drives (now sounds) like a Gallardo for the price of a 2005 Gallardo. A good way to tarnish Gallardo resale value, while also selling new. For a manufacturer, that is a good thing.
