Some wonder how to get a photo in POTM
1.) You must be the photographer
2.) It must be at least 1024 wide
3.) It must be posted with a hi-res link in "What you saw today"
4.) It must be posted within the start of the previous POTM contest, and the next one (usually 1 month)

Normally TT would pull from all over the forum. I think I only submitted the pics in what do you drive or ride, my bad.

Im having a photo shoot on saturday with a girl who just happens to own a 944. Maybe I can take some new shots for my submission ;)

That's kind of the point - "photographers" are not the only people that "see stuff on the road", and the idea of encouraging everyone to "post what they come across" morfed into "if you are not Andy Warhol don't bother submitting material" can and does quickly reduce the number of submissions.

this is one point, agree - but
I repeat, check the WYST section and you see that about twice a month, something is posted. (Regardless of the quality of the photos)

Jabba still runs this site. Myself, and a few others keep the spam out.

Sadly, times change, and while I still do a lot of photography; I just don't have the time to put this together like I used to. I'm not sure how Matteo managed it for so long.

I do periodically participate in photo contests on another site though.

Ego has nothing to do with it. The goal was always to critique, and get everybody better way back when.
