Well TT it's understandable why darthgoox would think 349. Tiff in his review said 349 would be produced. Maybe Ferrari upped their production numbers after that review. I checked www.ferrari.it and it said 399. There's always confusion when u hear different things from different sources.

It was 349 for a couple of month, but they soon discovered they needed to produce 50 more... and since then, the 349 was forgotten ;)

if i recall, its because of the history with the F40, where production was supposed to be about as limited, i dont recall the orignial numbers, but ferrari went back on that when they discovered they had a lot more demand for the supercar, and ended up producing over 1000 units. this fustrated the orgininal owners.
the next major supercar was the mclaren F1, and again my memory is hazy, but i believe they set out to produce 350 examples. shortly after mclaren anounced this, the F50 was set to be slightly more limited at 349 cars. this number seemed to work well enough that ferrari figured it would be the same for their following supercar, the enzo. im not sure entirely whey they changed the number, but it might include higher demand for a vehicle that is about as exclusive as a mclaren, but also (finally) faster then it in a straight,as well as in a circuit. or mabey as simple as at the time, there were no comparable super exotics to compete like the porsche carrera gt?

from what i can recall, Tiff also said they will be available in only red and yellow; but Jay Kay has a black one. :roll:
i guess it was fairly early on in the Enzo's production that Tiff made his report. things can always change.

the point mr.thapar of this post, totally eludes me.... as have many of your previous posts. two things, either you tell people something about the enzo that they don't already know, such as the tecnological advancements in the car that you may have something to contribute about.
or secondly, please post and tell us that you are actually buying an enzo, in which case everything you say about the enzo will probably go down in history, or maybe not.
as TT rightfully said, if people were only to talk about what they had driven, forums would have to be shut down, beacuse for example a lot of people own a Camry, and there isn't much to talk about a Camry. you get the point?

In 1995 there was another supercar...(sorry don't remember the name...maybe it was the F1 LM...but not sure)...but that car was so exclusive that they only produced 350 pieces...

In the same year Ferrari launched the F50...and just to make it more exclusive they produced 349... 8)

On the main point : The enzo is beginning to grow on me, and i think it looks fantastic. I just wish it didnt have the flappy paddly gearboxy. oh well.

The one left is probably for the Ferrari exhibitions, or to keep on display at Ferrari HQ.

Yeah but was it the f40 that they were supposed to build like 500 and ended up building far more like 1500? It must be tempting to do this given the demnad for the enzo and fiat aren't exactly weatlthy!!!
