Coronado Speed Festival

For those in San Diego or near by you might be interested in this event that is happening in a couple weeks. The Coronado Speed Festival is an event that has been happening for several years. It's a sister event to the classic car races that go on at Laguna Seca in Monterey.

I've been to it several times, it's a blast. You check out all the cars in their pits. Lot's of car clubs of all types are there to see their vehicles. The race is performed on the North Island air base.

Wow, that looks awesome. San Diego is kind of an awkward distance for me. It's not far away, but it's not somewhere I can drive to without a good deal of planning and time rationing. What do they use for a track or whatever? I'm doubting that I'll make it out there, so take lots of pictures please! :-)
