The reason why the title says "US production" is because the US cars will be assembled (guess where) in the US by Evolution Motorsports. It will probably be registered as a kit car for many compelling reasons as explained by RC some time ago.
Well, without a valid Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin /Manufacturer's Statement of Origin that meets federal/state requirments in the USA, the companies/cars listed would be better off classified as kit cars.
Because then at least Pagani, Koeniggsiggsiggeggieggggg, Spyker, Gumballers Appollo etc etc could be sold in the USA.
I know of 2 people that want Koeniggsegggsgsiggsgs and Paganini's in their garages - but refuse to buy and pay again to federalise the cars...
If they were, they could double their sales over night. ;)
There's no point in federalizing a car when you're trying to sell 10 a year.

sweet looks like you yanks will be getting some great stuff from germany ;)
but at 10 cars a year and a pricetag of 400k - 750k this will just be more something like a prestige object and not something that will be driven often though, that's a bit sad :(

We missed that one. I hope it'll be there again. Car and Coffee keeps churning out impossibly rare cars.

That Gumpert owner should know that I can't go every week. This next Saturday I'll be having a garage sale . . . anyone want to by some chairs formerly used in the Saleen HQ offices?

That was a month and a half ago.
I didn't know this was at the local C&C. Well. The dealership's in LA, so if we really wanted to see it... ;-)
The driver had brought the car from the sole U.S. distributor to show it off at a weekend cruise. He somehow failed to recognize that the speed bump was in fact approximately half the height of the low-slung supercar and after inexplicably getting the front air dam over the hump, found himself stuck.
The car came down and gently ground to a halt. It teetered a bit as it crept along the driveway, producing a grinding noise that had all of the witnesses cringing. As the carbon undertray was polished along its midsection, it became apparent that the rear tires might not make it over too. The driver stopped as the rears lifted just enough to take away traction. After a few moments of contemplation, he had the passenger get out and the lower payload gave the suspension just the right amount of lift to get the job done.
