I had to take it in 2 weeks ago because it was making a “chirping” sound. They said it was a bad “auto-tensioner" and replaced it and the outer drive-belt which was damaged by the tensioner. So 2 weeks go by and it’s making the same sound again! So I took it in and they just called me and said that the “auto-tensinion” had cased more ware on the drive belt! They said they still have not figured out what is wrong with it. He said “because the tensioner is a piece of hydraulics it could be a number of different issues so we want to keep your car over night and try to figure it out”! WTF?? Has anyone else had anything seemingly this major go wrong with their RSX? At least they gave me a TSX as a loner which I will be driving for at least another day.

By the way my RSX is a manual and only have 15k miles on it!

The exact same thing happened on my dad's minivan. Unfortunately it's a widespread problem often without a direct solution. If the part was initially poorly designed, replacing it does little to alleviate the long term annoyance. Maybe some Integra/RSX board will have something to try though?

I'd call it fraud. My dad's throttle was sticking on his GMC Sierra, and they "fixed" it. about two days later, ITS STICKING AGAIN!! he's pissed.

My RSX is fine. I abuse it daily, track it, etc, and never give me any problem. The only thing i need to do is to change oil regularly. A nice reliable car.
