Beautiful and V8 power to back it up.

And dont forget this car went on sale at in 1962, as a 1963 model.
Imagine how far advanced this car looked in 1962!!!!

I thought it was funny they stopped making the split window models for safety concerns, and now those are getting the highest bids at auction now.

Many of the Corvettes have poor brakes and crappy handling, but they have plenty of power, and there has never been an ugly Corvette. The 60's Stingray is my favorite. If I had one. I would have upgraded the brakes and modified the chassis a bit, and made myself a great sports car.
This one is definitely cool.

A 1963 Corvette Grand Sport will be for sale at auction in Phoenix this January, it is the ultimate mid year Corvette. If not it, than one like this.

A 1963 Corvette ZO6.
I think the rear window was modeled after the Gemini space capsule of around that era.

Thats a bit of a misconception there. Sure, by todays standards a 1957 or 1963 or 1967 or 1971 or 1980 or even a 1994 Corvette has substandard handling - but if you go back and compare year for year to the Ferraris, Porsches, Jaguars, Mazarattys etc of the day, you will be surprised to find the Corvette ran neck and neck on the street and was just as competitive on the track.
I do believe that Corvettes might even have got disc brakes as standard before ferraris did ;)
