Any new info on the GT4 release date in the US?

Ok, so I've heard everything from mid February to the end of May for GT4 to come out in the USA. I was just wondering if anyone has heard any recent credible ideas on when the release will be.

Yeah at last check for me at the game store they said mid may as well. But they also told me that was just a guestimate. So I thought I'd see if anyone else had anything more concrete yet. I guess we'll just have to wait for an announcement from the makers.

June. I cannot find the article on IGN though, and gamespot also confirmed this. More specifically they say June 30th. These are two biggest gaming sites out there and chances are this date is more appropriate. At least it gives us time to play just in for the heat?

my bet is it will be delayed again, by the limited pic's they have released i don't think (IMO) it will be redy by the release date!

The latest I've read has them thinking July at the earliest. They are having problems with the online portion of the the game. It looks like since PS2's only have 4mb of graphics memory, they may have to limit online play to 4 cars insteatd of 6. I would much rather Polyphony Digital took there time and released the best game possible. GT3 was delayed and it still had some small glitches.

There was the breaking out of track glitches, and the wheelie glitches (both are fun though), but I was mostly refering to the mistakes on conversions from metric to standard, like when you tune a car, the torque is way off. Also they didn't even bother converting the rest of the metric measurements to standard (car weight, ride height ect) And also, even though it is a little thing, during replays one of the front tires isn't touching the ground, and also when driving the Escudo you cn see the ground through the body. I would rather have PD take the extra time to do the conversions correctly and eliminate as many glitches as possible.

I picked up the new steering wheel in anticipation of GT4 then they pushed it back, but atleast i got one and when everyone buys GT4, there will be no wheels. I suggest pickign up the new wheel now, it works in GT3 only it don't turn the full 900 degrees until you use it with GT4.

i dont know, at first i heard it was supposed to come out like september of 2003 and now its been pushed back to early summer, so im just gonna wait until i see an adveritizement somewhere to get excited about it

According to a norwegian online paper, Sony had a press conference in US recently, where they said Gran Turismo 4 would be released in US this autumn...

So in Europe we might not see it before 2005 if we get the normal delay between US and european release

Yep, its said for an autumn release and with compatibility with the upcoming 40 gig hard drive. If anyone is interested in the new steering wheel, U.S. Amazon has it for 113 instead of 150.
