Gran Turismo TV Special: The GTR Legend

Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the video game series Gran Turismo takes the new Nissan GTR out on the Nurburgring and the German autobahn (over 300km/h). He also sits down for an interview with GTR head developer Kazutoshi Mizuno and explains that the original Nissan Skyline GTR’s were part of his inspiration to create Gran Turismo.

Great watch indeed. I didn't know the GTR actually inspired Gran Turismo series. In the end that game played a big part in popularization of japanese sports cars around the world that basicly nobody ever heard before.

And one thing to note with each of these vidoes, is that they are aimed at promoting the GT-R and GranTurismo... ;)

SO when you hear the voice over say "Mr Yamauchi said he had never experienced such power.." they are simply exagerating for dramatic effect... the Guy owns and drives 2 Ford GT's and a numebr of other cars that are far more poweful and violent than the GT-R - so take it all with a pinch of marketing a promotional sat :)
