Oh yeah, and 4 the threads sake, in england there r many racing series. Many people follow touring cars, F3, british GT's, formula renault, rallying, a lot of people go to the british grand prix (IMO a waste of time).
But there r many many racing series here. The two main tours for british racing r TOCA and the GT,F3 tours.

I live in Australia,V8 supercars,I have no interest with them,so therefore the next biggest thing would be GT racing with Porsches,Ferraris,Lamborghinis,etc..Slowly becoming the next big thing in australia.

Let me see. Back home in Ukraine they do a little bit of everything. I would say Rally's are the most popular. In the Karpathian mountains there are rallies in everything from Jeeps to EVO7s.

Open wheel racing is kind of popular....the problem is we dont have much circuits here.

Karting is also polular....we have everything but no motorsport is really grand due to lack of media exposure.

Were I lived we have annual races an old ZAZ 965s.

These cars.

Also drag racing is popular lol....became very popular afrer the FF movies

I can only imagen how much it costs to import a Ferrari 360 to Ukraine. With 117% duty tax its more then double the sticker price!!!!Yieks.

A Vette which is also extremly rare back home...this may be the only one in the country.

As I said Rallys are very popular.

I'm from Australia and V8 Supercars is the most popular. It used to be good when stock Holdens and Fords were used in the races in the 70s. Now they are nothing like the road cars it its all about "win the race sunday and win the sales race monday"

Hello everyone, I am from India, Bombay.
Most popular Motorsport here is Formula 1. People are crazy over formula 1 these days. I some how love WRC, but we dont have live footage here. We have to check the results on the internet.
As of domestic Racing, We have some GT Racing, F3s, Go Karting, Vintage Car Events, and Drag events every 2 Months.
Though most of the cars in Drag Events are Import Stocks, Even the local Modified ones arent that fast. Except for some rich people who Really put in a lot of money to get FAST Cars like Ferraris etc and Race just to show off. But its quiet fun, what we do here.
For people like us.. Sites like these are Awesome.. They give all the info we need about the (Motorsport Fan Life *Abroad* ).
By the way, is it real that Illegal Street Racing happen everynight in Major Cities in Australia, Japan, England, USA, Etc?

I'm from Malaysia, and there are various GT races, raced with Proton cars (alright, dont laugh too hard), as well as the Asian Pacific Rally championship and MotoGP is also quite popular. There's also one leg of the Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (your garden variety NSXes, Skylines, Supras, etc etc). There's an annual 12 hour endurance race held during the Malaysian National Day (31st August), with anything from EVOs to TVRs, Porsches and Ferraris competing in that one. a TVR Cebera won last year,i think.

But the biggest? Formula One, surely, without a doubt. That's the reason we built a world-class circuit in the first place. Seeing Schumi and Co on TV live, for every single race is fantastic, yes, but nothing beats hearing those V10s screaming their heads off 30 feet from where you;re sitting.

That Kinda of Motorsport is quite popular here as well, because Australia has kinda of the same terrain.I don't mind watching Around Australia rally when its on..Something I would be keen to do on a Motorbike.

I'm from Australia and V8 Supercars is the most popular. It used to be good when stock Holdens and Fords were used in the races in the 70s. Now they are nothing like the road cars it its all about "win the race sunday and win the sales race monday"

Motorsport back in the 60 & 70 here was brillant, because it was Production car racing. What you see at the show room was on the track on the weekends. The big 3 (holden,Ford and Chrysler) where building cars that where too powerful and too fast.In 1971 a guy rolled a GTHO phase 3 at 120mph at the top of the mountain. That was the end of Production car racing..As the rules change over the years,The Ford and Holden battle started to die and car sales begine to fall especially after the Group c rules where banned and it got worse in the late 80s and early 90s.As you know already the Nissan Skyline killed the Group A rules and Holden and Ford Battle was the only thing until Super Touring came in 1995.The the Head Boss of AVESCO killed off Super Touring as it was a threat to V8 supercars and thats the reason why its only Ford and Holden..If you want to watch that kinda of production car racing like the 60s and 70s,There is GTP where Holden HSV VS Ford VS EVO VS WRX VS RX7 etc.Its Production car racing of todays cars.

i really enjoy watching those races because it shows what performance the standard cars have.
a friend of mine is an absolute nut when it comes to jap imports and because i drive a v8 calais, (even though i want a TT supra) he is always bagging me when the evo's or rex's win
otherwise we also have the boat racing as shown above WRC is also big here as is F1, moto gp etc
basically if its got wheels and a motor, there is a race out there for it....
i have seen ride on lawnmower races on tv

In Australia, we are well served with racing of all types. V8 Supercars (AKA V8 Super Taxis) seems to get most PR, but GTP and Nations Cup are gaining in popularity. Nations Cup ...Lambos, Ferrari, Vipers, Porsche, Monaro etc. great stuff, with weight penalties applied for the first 3 in each race, kinda evens up the field.
We also have one of the best tracks in the world at Bathurst, New South Wales. It is called Mt. Panorama and if you get the chance to see racing there, don't miss it. Awesome circuit, with legendary sections like Mountain straight, conrod straight, the dipper....bugger I could name all the track!!

yeah, id have to say CART or F1 here in Canada. Theres not that many big races here... the Molson Indy in Toronto, but thats about it. Im not a real big fan of open-wheel racing tho, i prefer to watch cars that I can buy (or similar to factory cars) duke it out. Thats why I like the old 50's Nascar and think it was awesome, while this new Nascar just sucks shit.

I`m from Norway as you can see to the left, and I would have to say WRC is the most popular motorsport here as of now, with rallycross on a good second.

Hello fellow norwegian. I agree that WRC is probably most popular motorsport among us here, mainly because of Petter Solberg. Also interest for Formula One has grown because of better tv coverage.
I think European rallycross has faded away the last couple of years, with Martin Schancke retiring and less tv coverage.

The motorsport with most drivers in Norway is definitively Bilcross, a cheaper form of rallycross. (I made it more expensive than necessary, check my avatar...). Also many drive norwegian rallycross, and rally is growing.

Sweden... Rally, probably because we have the Swedish WRC rally but there is many more rallies. Touring car racing and other kinds of track racing.
