Anyone know what can be done from today until the 15th in Long Beach in California? I just flew in and bored out of my wits.

Every Saturday down in Irvine, they have the Cars and Coffee meet, but it starts early:

Not sure if Cruise at the Beach is still run, but you can shoot this guy an email and find out:

Also, lots of cool cars in Newport Beach area as well and other beach cities along the way.
Formula D is having their event at the LBGP circuit on the 12th.
I highly suggest the Cars and Coffee outing. Also, cruising PCH to get there is a ton of fun (well, more so if you have a car that you enjoy driving.)
Here's a link to a site that keeps track of many of the weekly and monthly car events in the Southern California area.

You could also check out the events at nearby Irwindale. They have open (1/8th mile) drag racing every Thursday.

Lastly, if you could manage to stay around just a few more days, you could see the Long Beach Grand Prix itself.
so have you figured out what to do with your time in Southern California yet?

Yea pretty much cars and coffee plus PCH. Bring a camera sometimes you get spy-shot worthy stuff. Had an e92 M3 and X5 in camo and a rolls phantom drophead no camo in one day but had no camera, and that was last april.
You could make an ambitious day out of Saturday by going to cars and coffee, leaving a bit early, and then running down to Long Beach for the Formula D event.

Yup. It's possible. Let's see, the Formula D thing starts at 10am. So, you can do that, although, the hard part is waking up at 5:30 or something. ;-)
