Do bigger sizes in Wallpapers have some effect in quality?

Because(I GUESS)that companies release pics of their cars in one size,lets say 1024x1200 and then I find them in another WEBSITE like in 1600x1200 do that affect the picture quality.Can u guys explain me?

well it would.. generally the pictures are taken at the highest resolution possible.. which i dont know but its HUGE.. cause when you blow it up to a poster for example, lets say 5 meters long and high.. its goto be top quality. The high the pixel rate the better the image.
