alright i'm planning on spending 3 weeks in europe and the theme of the whole trip is cars! the plan is as follows:

6 days in Italy to visit the supercar factories(ie ferrari, pagani, masterati etc) and museums.

7 days germany. Ring taxi, BMW, Brabus, rent a VXT for 2 days and drive around, perhaps a ride in a CGT (looks hopefully at st-anger  ) or maybe just a porsche plant tour, and to top it off a visit to singen auto salon have a look at the inventory (http://www.auto-salon-singen.de/)

4 days England. TVR, Noble, Park lane, pop in at casa jabba?

3 days france for 24hrs of lemans

and of course i'll try to put updates on JW as frequently as possible w/ pix

any suggestions? is it even possible?

You being 21 shouldnt be a problem; I have rented cars in the past with out any hassle.

But if you are going to travel much I suggest you buying a interrail ticket to get around, if you travel during the night in a hotel train you get the most out of your time there, and saves money on hotels.
I did this once, and its a good way of traveling cheap and easy there are trains going all the time, and with a interrail ticket you can just jump on a train.

I`m not sure what a ticket cost but I guess it is in the $400 range but then you can travel as much as you want for the whole time you are there, and if you substract the amount of money you would be using on gas and hotels I think you will get away cheaper this way.

And as blah said you should go the the memorial in Normandie I took the trip this summer, from Paris to Caen rented a car and drove around in the Normandie area very interesting, not car related but still, great twisty roads there........

thanx for the advice, i'll look into that. as for normandie, history isnt really my thing, but i'll keep it under consideration :D

even if your not into history, just think about how many people died so you could type, history isnt my thing, on that day alone.

Deth,

suppose you have to get your bookings for the RingTaxi with Sabine in ASAP  As those rides are sold out very, very quickly.
For dates and hours on which the Nordschleiffe is open for 'mortals' like us you can check out:

For car rentals, usually 21 is the min age required so you should be ok... some of them also requires that you have your licence since at least 3 years.. but the big ones like Hertz or Avis are pretty strick with young drivers and ask very high prices... anyway from country to country you will move by train or plane I guess.. and then once in the new location, you can always ask the hotel for a small rental... only here in Lausanne we have lot of them where you can rent for low prices w/o age problems.

The trip seems doable yes, but IMO in the end you will be destroyed LOL! This would be some serious workout ;) you will need a couple of weeks after that trip to recover from it :P

Sounds like a great trip. Just remember that on Monday's many places are closed, including the Ferrari factory. So plan accordingly.
