...yes, it´s winter time here in Austria, and yes we´ve quite some snow here too, even on the autobahn, but it seems like a german guy hadn´t been aware of that when he smashed a brand new Lamborghini Murcielago which he should have driven back to vienna from a ski race in kitzbühel. the Lambo was equipped with summer tyres as you can see on the picture, and he´d been ordered not to drive faster than 50mph when it´s snowy, but after a pit stop at a gas station he wanted to show off a little bit, and yes,...... he lost it.... poor Lambo :cry:
the driver had to be taken to hospital but he´s alright...physically, mentally is another question...

With that kind of power and summer tires on snow you can't expect any grip at all. My guess is that even with 4wd all that power will start the wheels spinning the instant you think about moving the throttle. I wonder if he had any grip at all.

Fuck the insurance. The guy was doing something REALLY stupid in a really nice car. Shit, I deal with snow all the time in the out here in the Rocky Mountains, and it's just not something thats worth fucking around in.

I hope that he wasn't insured, that makes it HIS total loss. He deserved it for being that stupid. No sympathy here!!

well it depends, here in Upper Austria we usually have 5 to 150cm, but in Tyrol or Vorarlberg, our main ski areas we sometimes have more than 300cm of snow. average temperatures now here are -5 to -10°C in the morning and 0 to 5°C at midday, but in some mountain valleys temp. may reach -20 to -30°C. on the other hand in Vienna, there´s hardly any snow, we´ve quite a complex weather here in austria sometimes with huge differences due to the layout of Austria...
